For any Bride planning a destination wedding, this post is for you! I got married in Playa Del Carmen in September. I used JK Travel since all of the feedback was really positive. My friends and family had a great experience working with her and so did my husband and I. She was great at offering a complete package with shuttle service to the hotel and back to the airport for a low price. A lot of the wedding guest were able to pay for their trip little by little making it easier for them to go! This was the first time we used JK travel to book a trip and it was for our honeymoon and let me start off by saying that it won't be our last. It was truly a pleasure and a great experience to book with JK travel. Janet and her staff are experienced, friendly, and very patient. They truly make you feel welcomed. We had decided to spend our honeymoon in the Maldives, and we weren't sure how many days to spend on a secluded island. Janet suggested 8 days and highly recommended that since we're already in that part of the world to also include a few days in Dubai. So we did, we spent 4 days in Dubai after the Maldives, per Janet's suggestion and what a great experience it was. We are truly grateful to Janet for suggesting that, because it was, simply put, amazing! Their is only one way to describe the Maldives and that is Magical. It felt like every step we took, would qualify for picture perfect postcard. We spent 8 days on this secluded island with the Kurumba Resort (only resort on a private island, which takes about 20 mins to walk around the entire island) and I promise, it never got old. It is truly a vibrant sanctuary of enchanting colors. We had an amazing deluxe bungalow, embedded in a forest of tropical trees, which was literally a few paces from the crystal clear amazing beach of the Indian Ocean. After 8 days of enchanting relaxation, we moved on to Dubai and stayed at the top of the Palm Jumeirah at the Atlantis, and what a treat that was. Janet and her staff (David, her nephew who has been to Dubai) recommended the Atlantis and several restaurants and things to do while in Dubai, and my new wife and I are truly thankful because we followed their entire playbook and felt that we did everything that was worth doing in Dubai. We've provided a few pictures, but I promise that these pictures truly cannot even begin to describe the experience of our amazing honeymoon. I will break this review down in parts so you get the full understanding and benefits when booking with JK Travel. I was always an expedia user and always booked places myself. Including my Honeymoon. Well my wife wanted to visit Greece and I did not feel like spending the usual man hours to do research for tickets, hotels, and activities. My father had been using JK Travel and said you should give it a shot for your travel needs, so I said why not. In terms of pricing, she is the CHEAPEST! As I mentioned before, I do plenty of research before purchasing tickets, hotels, etc. I reached out to Janet regarding my trip and she put an itinerary together for me with 3 different options of hotels. I went on Expedia, Kayak, Trivago, and a couple other sites to compare apples to apples. She blew all the sites out of the water in terms of pricing. I matched exactly what she had planned with all the three different hotel options. I could not beat her pricing if my life depended on it. I spent hours trying to figure out how to save and it couldn't be done. She won that game. From that point on I had no choice but to book with her, pricing was far too competitive. Now details regarding my trip, this is where the real service comes to play. This is my true experience that I had when I flew back from Greece. We had connecting flights from Santorini to Athens, back to the United States. Greece airports are very different from airports in the States because they are not as detailed with delay information as the States are. On our way back from Santorini to Athens, our flight was delayed, which in turn caused a delay back to the States. Everyone in the airport was not helpful at all and basically put me out there on my own to find my way back home. The agents and staff tried to put me on another flight but with no avail and possibly charging me extra out of pocket. Stuck in Athens, I had no choice but to call my travel agent, she immediately responds and begins to work on case to get me back home asap. Mind you when trying to get my way back to US on my own, I would have to cough up $2900 per ticket each for my wife and I, sheer panic set it at that moment. Janet was able to calm me down, worked diligently to get me on a flight back home ASAP. Again, this is where having a travel agent for trips comes to play. Huge benefit to just sit back and let the agent handle the problem while you are already frustrated at the airport because you will be stuck there for some time. Not only was Janet responsive, she immediately found me a flight back home to the US for FREE. Not a dime out of my pocket even though it was an airport fault for the delay. I made it back home in no time and everything turned out great. Going forward for my vacations, I now know who to call and rely on. read more
