This store has a lot of inventory and for me it was a little overwhelming. Next time, I think I will go looking for specific categories and ask the owners to point me in the right direction. I love coming in here just for the history alone and checking out some of the old artwork. I've bought a few prints from here including some throwback Baltimore Inner Harbor prints from the 80s and some old WWI USA propaganda sayings that are really cool. They can also frame there and they weren't kidding when they say then can usually beat prices of most professional framing shops. I learned that the hard way...but if you're strolling through Hampden do yourself a favor and pop into this place. There's a super cute dog waiting to greet you at the door most days.

I am a moleskin girl myself; but I recently purchased a Leuchtturm here in a beautiful sage green color (please note they carry MANY shades and different types!! (lined, blank, dotted!!)). Words cannot describe how excited I am when I stop by this store to see if they have any new items in stock. They also sell beautiful planners, pens, markers, post it notes, etc. While it is a smaller shop, I think it is very well organized and laid out and I think the owner is really strategic about what they carry because I've always left feeling like nothing was lacking in my experience. Free street parking is available on nearby streets and this shop is right by several bus stations so it's easy to get to. There is a single step to enter the store if you have concerns regarding accessibility. I don't think they're active on Yelp, but they are active on Instagram where they post when the shop is having events like journaling club!! and stationary events. I also just have to add that I had a lovely conversation with the owner about journaling and travel and after mentioning a trip I was planning to go on to London, she actually gave me a stationary shop recommendation there as well.

New job means new at home office furniture for me. I've been needing a real desk chair for years…read morenow. The chairs at staples and Office Depot are not the best quality. I need ergonomics for a good price in my life so Mark Downs is where I headed. Huge warehouse with a lot of office furniture. Some brand new, some refurbished. My sales guy walked me through some options based off my budget and aesthetic. I ended up getting a brand new chair that was initially $600 for $200. These were chairs ordered for an office but when the pandemic hit, order was canceled as the offices closed. You can also find desks and work out equipment here. Not sure if they do any shipping. We were able to fit my chair in my car perfectly.
