It is certainly overwhelming to consider the scope and scale of a new build, and to think about what you would like the lighting to look like and how you would like it to function when the space doesn't even exist. We had the absolute best time working with Josh. First, he helped us hone our aesthetic vision, and to build cohesion into the lighting design. He also helped us wrestle with the technical challenges of recessed lighting in high slope ceilings. Through the entire process, he gave us the confidence we needed to easily make decisions and to put the vision into action for our home. Throughout the entire process, Josh was highly responsive, he communicated with clarity, and he had a fantastic sense of humor, challenging each of us appropriately when we were stuck in some kind of rut. His efficiency is remarkable and his design eye and skill is obvious. On top of all of this, he produced documentation that clearly conveyed the plan to our electrician, making our recent electrical walkthrough the best one he had ever been on. The electrician told us that most of the time people arrive with little to no clue of what they want, and it is a laborious, frustrating and overwhelming process. We arrived with our Josh plans and knew exactly where things were going to be and what they would look like. We are very excited to see this house come into reality. We know the lighting we selected will bring warmth and beauty to to spaces, both interior and exterior, and we feel that Dominon and Josh provided great value to us and our project.

Patricia M. I highly recommend The Master Studio and owner Mr. Sherwani. I bought an 18" tall Jim Shore vintage cat from ebay that came broken into pieces. I was so upset, thinking I would have to throw it away. Then I decided to reseach on line for someone who might be able to repair it. I found The Master Studio. I contacted Mr. Sherwani who quickly had me send pictures and said he could repair it. I was hesitant but met with him right away. Within a week he called me and said the cat was repaired. When I went to pick it up, I was shocked. It looked brand new and I could not see anywhere where it had been broken. He is absolutely a miracle worker of all things that need to be put back together. I had just returned from Israel and Jordan where I bought a plexi glass sculpture of a saxophone. Not everyone specializes in plexiglass, so I was able fortunately to find someone on Google in Virginia that was able to help me. Sha did an amazing job and you would never know what was broken. We had some ceramic figures that had been broken and glued back together years ago. They light from the inside, and the glue cracks showed quite clearly. Shams did a wonderful job of resurfacing them so they look pretty much brand new. He also replaced the switches and cables expertly. He was wonderful to work with, as well. He brought our…read moremid-century Broyhill Sculptra china cabinet back to life and did so with plenty of communication about our preferences on finishes and issues encountered, etc. Overall we're happy with the result. He is a very knowledgable and friendly guy. I was encouraged by his strong interest in the history of our piece and how it may have been constructed or refinished in the past. Once he started in on the refinishing, his work was very thorough. Since the cabinet has glass doors and displays dishes, he needed to sand and refinish the inside shelves and walls as well as the outside, and he completely took apart the door frames, installed new glass, and shored up the hardware. Being an older piece, the doors had some challenges with closing and always seemed a bit flimsy before the job, but after Drew's work they feel much more robust (in addition to looking great). I'm sure that working with these fragile doors was challenging and appreciate the care Drew took to get them and the inside finishes right. When we got to the finishing stage, Drew found a good solution for testing finishes in an area of the piece that wasn't visible and sent several pictures to help us preview and select the final finish. He made several helpful suggestions along the way about which finishes might look best. In the interest of full transparency, Drew quoted our job at 4-9 weeks and $1400 (we had another refinisher quote us the same price but with extra for delivery fees, so Drew's quote seemed fair). He turned the piece around in about 8 weeks and at the quoted price. He seems to have quite a few customers and due to other project obligations, he probably didn't start in earnest on our job until about week 6, so keep in mind that depending on conditions your project could end up on the long end of his range. This wasn't an issue for us, though, as Drew was very responsive and gave us regular updates on project and expected delivery timeline. Lastly, I think Drew's delivery methods could be improved a bit - transport is on a trailer that looks susceptible to some movement and bumpiness. One of our glass doors has a small and not very noticeable scratch that I'm guessing happened at some point in transit. Goes with the territory and certainly doesn't change our overall positive view of Drew's business, but an area where an upgrade may be warranted in the future.
