He was professional, gave me options, and accommodated a change I wanted before the project started. I was impressed with him! Unfortunately, that's where things went down hill. Alec was responsive via text, but he sent two guys to my house that did not speak English, making it impossible to communicate, parked on the edge of my lawn, tearing it up, did a shoddy job installing the pillars, and did not respect my property. They didn't use ladders or their own things to prop up my roof while they replaced the columns. Instead, they used cinder blocks they found somewhere to stand on and used some old warped boards that I stack firewood on to prop up my roof instead! The wood was not meant for that! We're lucky they did not collapse. Worse, they cut one of them without my permission, and I still don't know where one of the 2x4s is. As for the work itself, the columns they put up were not straight, one was not plumb at all, and there was no consideration for which direction the knots in the wood faced. I know the work was not finished, but they would have left them that way had I not said anything to Alec. The only reason I'm not giving 1 star is because Alec sent someone to fix the problems the next day before they trimmed them. I'm happy that many of the mistakes were corrected, and I have something solid in place that I can work with later, but I am disappointed with the overall quality and the lack of professionalism shown to my property. I could have done this level of work. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend them. Edit: Alec reached out and offered me a partial refund. I accepted, but he didn't send it. Haven't heard from him since.

Mike Smith of the company inspected the issue proposed a fix that included a drainage system and sump pump. He also assured me that they could take care what ever issue they may find down there. His estimate was very reasonable. The work started when they said it would. WHAT A WEIGHT LIFTED FROM MY SHOULDERS. When the three man crew arrived and introduced themselves and the supervisor outlined what they would be doing and when they expected to complete the job. The supervisor, Efrain, and Salvador and Eddie gave me confidence I was in great hands. Now this is something you hardly ever hear anyone say anymore; but I have never seen three men work so hard and professionally as those three did. Efrain kept me totally abreast of the progress with before and after videos. I know I have restricted myself in the past to restaurant reviews as my wife and I are foodies. But I learned there are "artists" in other fields of work as well. Swain Co and their people are one class act as ND I would hghly recommend them for any crawl space, foundation or basement issues. You won't see them advertising on TV like other companies because they don't need to. Word of mouth by previous customer service have kept them very very busy.
