The yard was heavily neglected and a real hot mess, vines and branches growing all over the place. A tree had destroyed the shed about back. And there was a huge 5ft tall by 4 ft wide bushy "thing" growing out of a planter and up the wall out front that, for decades we thought was a huge persistent weed. I can now see the yard, trees and branches cleared and removed from the yard. Vines cut up from the root. Everything is cleared and dug up out front. The huge weed in front ended up growing out of the lower branch of an old dead tree covered by cement. Not only did he and his partner pull up the weed by the root, they cut down the dead branch that had been pushing up into the planter. BTW there was also a smaller version of the monster growing in an adjacent planter, it's dead and gone now as well! A very thorough job, you want to hire them for your next project. Behind the greenhouse, we had a delightful time listening to our instructors who clearly have worked side by side at the farm. Educational facts about herbs with a sprinkling of humor began the event. It is so wonderful to attend a class where they share their knowledge about the herbs and their uses. They give you salient advice that helps you decide on which herbs fit the taste profile you enjoy so you build your herb pot on what fits you.
