Hello everyone! I am a 'now' happily married wife. Got married on June 17th and we got DKP Entertainment to DJ for us. A little thing you should know about me is that I never considered myself a social host, I'm a little introverted so having to be in my own wedding made me nervous. Meeting our DJ: We made an appointment with Lamont almost a year before our wedding. Upon meeting him, we got all the details we needed. There are no flaws in his packages all of them were reasonable. Overall Lamont holds a very professional attitude, and positive outlook. He's funny and very energetic. This is what you should be looking for in a DJ before he's entertaining your guest!! As the days crept closer to the Wedding I was very busy, a lot had to be done and I had almost forgotten to turn in my music list that I needed to give Lamont. The entire time, it was him reminding me, giving me notices about and asking questions about what I THE BRIDE wanted. That's another thing you should look for, a DJ who cares about your event as much as you do. Really meant a lot to me! WEDDING DAY: Lamont played the music I wanted, and kept everything according to what we planned, this was very significant he respected and followed with the music choice we wanted. So I have arrived an hour late to my reception because I was taking photos. As soon as DJ Lamont saw us, he went straight into action, our song was played and we were lovingly welcomed by our family and friends. All of my guests were extremely happy that evening. I hired DKP Entertainment for an event in Merced in December where I needed sound, lights, and a DJ to run the equipment. I signed a contract with Lamont and paid the full amount upfront. At the night of the event, he subcontracted the job out to Julio of J.O. Studios. Julio set up the sound equipment and left saying that it was not in his contract to stay. The contract that I signed for DKP entertainment said that one or two DJs would be provided to entertain people for the night. When I contact Lamont about getting a partial or full refund, he said I could get a "discount" on future events. And the misunderstanding was a result of us never having direct communication. I didn't think there was anything more direct than signing a very clear contract! I signed a contract with Lamont that he drafted, but could not adhere to. That is extremely poor business and I highly recommend anyone and everyone to take their business elsewhere! read more

Lamont was the DJ for our wedding on September 27, 2014. He exceeded our expectations. We chose a large group of songs to be played during different parts of the ceremony. He put them in order and made a CD for each of us that we could listen to in our cars. I have never taken it out of my player and listen to it often. He was organized, prompt, professionally dressed and had a lot of ideas that helped make our day extra special. We used Lamont for our Wedding Reception in 2001. We had a wide variety of music, from Big Band all the way to the 90's. The music was perfect, all the introductions were perfect, the whole evening was fantastic!! The venue said we could have the room for longer then scheduled and Lamont was able to stay. People were having such a great time on the dance floor that we literally had to kick people out. People still tell us that "that was the best reception they have ever been to!" Thanks, Lamont!!
