Disappointed with the overall experience. I had turf, travertine and outside lights installed…read more The job didn't start on the date agreed upon and needed multiple visits back to fix issues that I identified. The majority of the dates agreed upon for the fix were always delayed without proactive notice from Jack. Most recently one of the lights stopped working. Jack knowingly sent a replacement light that was completely different. It's smaller and shorter than the other lights and the bulb is yellow not white. Jack offered a resolution and we agreed on a date and just like my past experiences the resolution and date will not be met. In the spirit of a full review, the lights look good but I am disappointed to already have an issue in less than 7 months from installation. The turf was installed with the seams facing two different directions. Jack did install a replacement piece with the seams facing the right way. However, there are still two additional pieces with the seams showing but I have chosen to accept that even though I shouldn't. The main reason I got turf installed and explained this to Jack was so my child could enjoy it and the turf installed gets so hot during the day that no one can stand on it. The concrete used to install the travertine has concrete left exposed and has never been fixed. Jack was very responsive when I first contacted him and seemed knowledgeable which is why I chose him over other companies. I wish I could say that I got the experience I expected for a job that cost me a little over 9k but unfortunately I have not. The amount of time I have had to spend sending pictures, videos, emails and follow up calls is unacceptable. I thought to write a review multiple times but always gave the benefit of the doubt but now with another issue and another experience of Jack not following thru on his word I felt I had to write review and let people know about my experience. Update: As of today, the resolution discussed a month ago has not been completed. In addition to that I have not received an answer to my calls, texts or emails.

Sunshine Lighting has earned my absolute highest recommendation!!…read more Firstly, Sunshine Lighting showed up as scheduled, provided expert workmanship, and did so at the reasonable cost. Secondly, Sunshine Lighting owner, Ryan Bilkis, masterfully worked within my budget, and designed a Wi-Fi controlled landscape lighting for my front yard; and awhile later, did the same for my backyard. In both cases, I was able to try out a demo set for several days, prior to consummating each purchase. After installation, several friends/neighbors positively commented on my home's landscape lighting; and some proceeded to hire Sunshine Lighting themselves. Most recently, Sunshine Lighting, has added Landscape Sound. After demoing Ryan's Landscape Sound System for a couple days; I agreed to make a purchase. My new Wi-Fi controlled Landscape Sound System will be installed next month!! Can't wait!!

It was a challenging installation because we needed all the landscape lighting lines connected to an out-dated Crestron home automation system here. From the get-go, Ryan was not only responsive, but very detailed in what he envisioned for our property - front and back. He provided a detailed printout with the lights needed in each area we wanted highlighted. He and Gage worked together to install all the lights and wiring as needed, demonstrating not only creative design talent, but electrical wiring skills AND flexibility in getting the entire program on our home automation system. No small task. In addition, we'd bought a couple dozen solar LED lights to accent several stairs out by our pool. These were also installed as part of the project - adding to the color and drama of our patio. Ryan doesn't hesitate to make suggestions as to what light to use where and how to place it for maximum dramatic impact. In the past two years, Sunshine Lighting has kept in touch with me, coming over at night to assess the impact of the lights and ask if adjustments are needed. I've never needed ONE bulb replaced, and the lighting has worked on our home automation timer flawlessly ever since installation. Even more important (well, if beauty ranks over functionality) I have told Sunshine Lighting that EVERY SINGLE NIGHT I look out over the front lawn arrangement of huge palms, ti plants and other vegetation artfully lit and just sigh with pure pleasure - it's a fairytale to look out on that beauty. I've shared photos of our landscapt lighting with friends and family, and everyone who sees the dramatic lighting on textured palms, groups of small trees, hedges lining the walls, the stairs out back, and the gorgeous center island is simply WOWED.
