We had requested a playlist heavy on country music with the addition of classic rock, even specifying artists. Ninety percent of the music played was generic wedding reception dance club music. These songs mixed in with what was requested would have been fine but none of the requested list was played. When it came time to pay, the son who had been the DJ, said they could take a credit card. When his father showed up, he said it had to be cash or check. At no time had we been told this previously and were not prepared to pay this way. We apologized and said we could meet him with cash the following morning and he got quite belligerent and said the contract stated we were to have paid it a week before but in none of our recent correspondence had he reminded me of this and I admitted that I had forgotten that was required but that I had actually asked prior to the wedding if he needed anything from me. He did not reply as communication seemed to be an issue with him. Also, if that was in the contract and he hadn't received final payment (all he did was ask if we were still on) why would they have even shown up? A family member offered to chip in the $100 cash we were short but the owner said he couldn't provide a receipt and we weren't about to give him cash with no proof we had done so. As it turned out, the family member wrote a check and we paid him back the next morning. Every other vendor we used, for services costing way more than this, either sent us a final invoice prior to the event or even after the service was provided. I guess my biggest issue was the unprofessional, intimidating way he came at me. I cannot recommend Mixx Master at all given their inability to reply to texts and email and their lack of customer service.

Larry recently did music for my wedding and was fantastic. We contracted him for six hours to do…read morethe mic for our officiant, music before/during/after the outdoor ceremony, and then during our reception where he played a slideshow of photos we had supplied. He is a great communicator, did fantastic work, and had people on the dance floor from after our first dances until three full hours later into the night, and at no point was the dance floor clear during that time. He supplied an awesome Google Drive spreadsheet for us to fill in tons of information since we were coordinating from a few states away. One side note, and far from a ding to Larry, is that if you have him display a slide show, then make sure you have either a white wall or a screen to have it displayed upon. We completely forgot and our venue was all exposed wood grain walls, it looked fine, but could have been avoided on our part.
