If you have floated in the "pods" but never anything else, you definitely should try Solace instead. Their float pool is private, huge, and MUCH better than a pod. If you have never floated before, you will be "spoiled" after floating here and will not be satisfied with the pods. This float pool is MUCH bigger. It is completely open, but you can be in total darkness with no claustrophobia to worry about since you aren't shut in. At this establishment I booked my appointment with Ashley and was greeted by her and guided into and through a very relaxing, comfortable, and amazing experience. From the sparkling clean changing room, to the posh relaxation/waiting room and ultimately to my private shower and float room everything was amazing. Ashley was friendly, yet professional and warm. I truly felt valued and cared for. The float tank/pool itself was large enough that I could fully extend my arms to the sides or top (my legs, too) and I still could float without contact on the sides. I'm about 6 feet tall, so it is very roomy. The shower and provided products and accommodations are all very good. The cost is a good value, and the experience overall was superb. It you have never floated before, there are all sorts of reasons to try it. Some medical, some spiritual, some metaphysical, and some just simply to experience relaxation beyond normal. I floated for a combination of reasons. I needed to relax, I needed pain relief, and I wanted to meditate a bit. I was able to do all three.

I was so worried because I had to take my two daughters (3yrs and 1yr) to my first appointment. Paige offered my 3yr old crayons and a coloring book to keep occupied. All the girls that work there took them with open arms and watched them while I got my x-rays and treatment! My next appointment they greated me as if they have known me forever. Dr. Uvena called me later in the day after my appointment to make sure I was feeling okay and wasn't too sore. He remembers things you tell him and follows up.
