My go to place for my yarn or fabric related crafts. Store is huge! They sell a bit of everything to do with arts and crafts but I think their specialty is fabric related. If that's what you are looking for this is definitely the place to go. They are located in a plaza with other businesses but there's never a shortage of parking. Quite often they have sales and coupons that are really good. They have aisles and aisles of yarn. A variety, pretty big selection and fairly priced. read more

So we bought two pieces of material and we were told to wash them before we made tablecloths out of them. One of the pieces had two holes in it. Well guess what, Jo-Ann fabrics won't take it back because they said we washed it. That sucks, don't shop here. There are many other fabric stores that have much better customer service. read more

During this time of shelter and place I am thankful that I am able to shop and Joann's for fabric to make masks during this terrible time. It was easy to find fabric online and purchase to ship, pick up in store or curbside availability. This was the first time I have been in Joann's and the amount of fabric they have available is incredible. They had a large countertop with a couple of employees helping to cut fabric. Confessing up front that I spent some time reading (many) negative reviews about the customer service at this location before I visited. I went in a week before Christmas, and even in a busy store, I was treated so well by two of the staff - Dan, who went out of his way to accommodate me, and Tony, who was so patient and helpful as he checked out a large order that required extra steps for each item. Couldn't have been better. Kind, funny, hospitable, professional. And standing in the line to check out, I thought about how difficult the work must be, especially during this season and with a short staff. So, if the ladies cutting cloth move slowly, please take a cleansing breath and count your blessings before you snap at them. I no longer feel safe shopping here. Long time customer who has spent a good amount of money here. No More. Friday walked in (clear signage on front door 'mask required, if you do not have one, we will be glad to give you one). Customer in front of me, no mask. Cashier (masked) then walked her to the back of the store (no mask). I had to TELL the cashier to put a mask on before she could check me out. Fine. Wrote corporate- they do NOT care. At all. Went in today- couple in front of me- No Mask.... but I knew exactly what I wanted etc. Cashier? Yep. No mask! Got a "bs" letter from corporate (enough is enough) went to return the (final) item (and I deleted the app). No mask on the cashier, found a manager to give me my money back- mentioned the lack of mask. She really didn't care "oh, it must be on the desk" (what???) I have done a lot of social media in support of this company (I do a lot of charity work). No More. go to google shopping- you can find BETTER deals (I buy yarn in bulk, trust me) read more

Supplies of all variations are in this store ranging from scrapbooking, paints, markets, fabrics, and so much more.This location is well stocked and clean. They also send a ton of coupons in the mail. My only knock is the customer service. I've been here over 10 times and in most cases received average to poor service. TDLR: the long lines drive me mad. Whenever I roam around Joann's with their 40-60% off coupons looking for something I'd like to buy or if I go in with an item in mind, there are never many customers in the store. I don't notice many people in the same aisle as me or even around me... BUT whenever I go stand in line to purchase my items, for some reason LONG LINES. The Northpoint location only ever has 2-3 cashiers and 2/3 of them don't know how to work the system correctly. They always ask the man (manager?) to help with their station, answer a phone call, conduct a return, an issue with a coupon, etc etc. The manager ends up going to help the other 2, so there are really only 2 cashier who always get held up. There were 4 people in from of me and it took me over 20 minutes to get through the line. This literally happens every single time I visit this location. There was also a time I had to do an exchange WITH a receipt of the same product (some yarn because it was poorly made) and the cashier, again, needed to call the manager because she didn't know what to do. Overall, pain in the butt to come to the Northpoint location. read more

This is my virgin visit to any Joann's Fabrics and Crafts. I drove a bit because they had an iron that I wanted. It's located next to Best Buy on Hayne's Bridge. The general vibe is like their name crafts and fabrics. It's similar to Michaels but better organized and bigger. It took a long time to get my iron that I put on hold the night before. The staff seem nice enough but not very informative. All in all it was ok - but if you want to do anything craft - bet this place has the material you need. read more

This Jo-Ann's is a crafter's paradise. About the size of a Super Target, this Jo-Ann's instead has aisles and aisles of fabric, jewelry making supplies, frames, paint, cake decorating materials, yarn, etc. The selection is truly unbeatable. no matter what your crafty medium of choice is, they will have tons of options to choose from. Unfortunately, it's basically the only store in the area to sell fabric by the yard, and as such, it is SLAMMED all the time with customers. When I arrived at the cutting counter, I found that it works like a deli counter, where you take a number and wait till its called or shows up on the little lighted display. They were serving number 40 when I got there, and I pulled number 52 from the dispenser and waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. ... ... 45 minutes later (!!!), my number was called. I tried to maintain my faux cheer, and remarked to the nice old lady cutting my fabric that they seemed super busy. She replied that this was nothing, and that I should see the crowd on a Saturday, where waits over an hour are common. I think I'll skip the Saturday lines, thank you very much, and switch my fabric purchases to online purveyors. read more

I didn't spend too much time at this Jo-Ann Fabric, however, I was pretty frantic looking for ivory envelopes to send baby sis-made thank-you cards out in and after having gone to multiple crafts stores in the Perimeter area and even the Jo-Ann Fabric location on Pleasant Hill in Duluth, I made the trek to North Point, in hopes of having some luck. Jo-Ann delivered and the envelopes were even 50% off. I grabbed them from the paper crafts sections and set off for the register. There was only one lady ahead of me and once it was my turn, I quickly paid and left. I admit that I don't see myself becoming a regular, especially since I'm not very much into sewing or doing other crafts, but my experience getting envelopes was A-OK. read more

They have a HUGE selection of Home Decor fabric which I just love browsing. They have tons of seasonal items, and really, anything you need. Yay, a return trip over the weekend yielded an entirely new store layout packed with goodies and knick knacks that are completely unrelated to sewing. The sewing area is still huge, but thankfully the paper crafts section is a solid 8 or 9 rows of former tree goodness. There's even 3 rows or so of nothing but cake decorating stuff. Selection still isn't as good as what they have online, but I guess when the name is "Joann Fabrics" you're not really expecting to see a thousand varieties of eyelets and stickers greeting you upon entering the store... Serious attitude issues at this location. This store is an hour away from me, and during a pinch and occasional art emergencies, I've ended up here. Store is always clean, and a nice selection that my closet locations do not have but the staff is RUDE! All 5x I've been in the past 8 months, there has been at least one rude staff member. Today I called to ask if they had a product in stock, the lady was snippy and acted like she was bothered. I told her I was looking for a particular item and color, and I asked if she wanted the item number. She replied back blunt and louder than necessary, "NO!!" So I told her what I was looking for and she completely disregarded my actual question, and just asked another team member if they carried the item. Not if it was in stock. I got passed off to another team member... when I asked if they had a particular color in, the attitude continued to the next associate. "HOLD ON!" The second lady went to see if it was in stock, and when she returned, "we don't have it-" and phone hung up. Idk what is going on over there but there is poor team morale and poor customer service. I'd rather drive to Cumming which is over an hour away from me or even take my gamble and order on amazon. read more

Crazy amount of yarn, and I mean CRAZY amount of yarn. Probably about 8 rows of it, and that's surprising. Fabric selection is similar to that of other Joann stores, which means it's not bad, but you won't find the kind of selection you'll find at Gail K. It's mostly just normal, everyday fabric. The location is a bit inconvenient for anyone ITP, but it's pretty okay as far as Joann goes. read more

This review is for the Alpharetta, Georgia store, my go-to location. I shopped awhile and went to the ladies room. Oh my gosh. I've lived all over the USA, lived overseas, and I've never seen anything so disgusting. The toilets, especially the bottoms were beyond dirty. The manager was down the hall, and I spoke to him. He said they just need to be torn out. I told him that I would think with the virus they would be clean. He kind of laughed and said, well you could call Corporate. I said, well funny you say that, because I just took pictures of all of them and do intend to contact corporate. He was speechless. When I went in to return some fabric today the line was sneaking through the store. Finally, after waiting in line for 20 min a manager came to help at the front. When I got to the counter they told me I had to return the fabric at the fabric counter. The line at the fabric counter was also ridiculous. I wouldn't torture myself by shopping here but it is basically the only fabric store around these days. The employees are not friendly at all and treat you like an inconvenience. The wait time for fabric cutting is HORRENDOUS at best!!! They are always short staffed - I waited 45 minutes on Sunday while 2 women slowly cut each order. This store has changed a lot over the past few years. Previously, it was a great store for home decor and all sorts of decorative items. Gone are the well stocked shelves and great sales. It is now primarily a sewing center and a quilter's paradise. They still carry a few craft items but then you can find those at Wal-mart or Hobby Lobby. On the other hand, it is a great place to take grandma and Aunt Alice. read more

Every time I've been here the employees appear to hate life and I've even had a few different cashiers make passive aggressive comments toward me regarding my tattoos amongst other things. This is my second visit with same poor customer service. First visit (pre-Covid) the young girl who seemed new. I thought was having a bad day as she was so rude to the point had I not needed the cake sprinkles that the competitor did not have I would have just left the store. Today, I did curb side pick up the associate answered the phone after 6 rings. I told her curb side and name and she just hung up !! Without acknowledging she was getting order or she found it Or anything. So she comes out not wearing a mask (I'm wearing a mask) her choice with window down she asks That I lift my SUV trunk ummmm it doesn't lift from inside she huffed lifted it and threw my order so hard it hit the back seat. If you don't like your job quit !!! What is this place doing to make these workers so disgruntled? Is it a prerequisite to be angry and rude? The positive side is they employ some nice older ladies and they have a decent selection of fabrics. The negative is the lines move extremely slow and heaven forbid you need to return fabric you will be pointed to one line and then another and another and they all move slow. HORRIBLE customer service. I won't be giving this store my business in the future. I bought several items online for pickup at this store. When I arrived, I inquired where I could pick up my order. At the Kennesaw store, they let you come right up to the register, hand you your order, say thank you with a smile and send you on your way. At this store, I was ordered to queue up with the rest of the shoppers, where I waited, and waited, and waited for almost 20 minutes. When I finally got to the register, I was informed I would need to wait for the manager to process my order. And so I was shoved over to the side to wait, and wait, and wait, another 15 minutes. Manager finally came downstairs to process my order at which point I told him I no longer wanted the merchandise. So then I waited and waited and waited for him to do my return. Absolutely HORRIBLE store and staff. Look forward to their going out of business sale. read more

First walking into this Jo-Ann's is amazing, it's huge! The biggest I've seen! That being said, I don't know if I could go back to this store just based on the customer service. The employees are so rude! Two separate employees treated me terribly. I was waiting in line at the fabric counter to get fabric cut for 20 mins and they called my number and I came up to the counter and was digging for my number which I stuffed in my purse that my infant son decided to rummage through. They proceeded to ignore me and call the next number, I was still digging saying "wait, I have it, hang on". And the next woman in line came up and simply asked a question and was on her way. I found my number at that point and handed it to the employee and she took my fabric to cut and then said to her coworker "We have to have a time limit when people can come to the counter with their number, they never listen". What?! I was standing right there! I was speechless. I ignored her, maybe she was having a bad day. At the register, a new girl was being trained and the entire time treated me like it was a complete hassle for her to be there and have to work a register. Rolling her eyes, loud sighs, etc. She was clearly frustrated and annoyed to be there. Wow, where do these people come from? Ugh. It'll be a while if I ever return. read more
