The people who work here are wonderful- so friendly and helpful. They have a great selection of…read morepatterns and fabrics. Lovely kits if you don't want to do the thinking/planning. I have been to many quilt stores and this store is by far one of my favorites. Quilters who are trying to limit fabric purchases or who are on a fabric diet should not come here if they have waivering willpower. I never leave without acquiring more treasure! I always find something that I need in this store. I have never been able to take a class here but have been in the store when classes have been in process. Looks like everyone is having a great time and creating projects they can be proud of.

We must of talked for 30 minutes while she helped me find what I needed. During that conversation, she mentioned that they were going to start having retreats. I immediately signed my friend and I up, and we then went to our first sewing retreat at Robinsrest. It was so fun! The rooms were wonderful! Comfortable beds, super fun and friendly ladies, and it was overall a great experience! We are already signed up for the next one!

They were wearing masks and taking the necessary precautions due to these uncertain times which I appreciated. I would highly recommend this quilt shop. Jenny answered the phone...and even though they were working with a small crew, checked the fabric for me AND told me they had the fabric I was looking for in more than one color. She sent me pictures right away so I could see the fabrics. She measured them, called me back in just a few minutes with a total. I paid for them and 2 days later... they were at my door. When I was in college, I was too poor to shop here. So, while on vacation this week I made it my…read moremission to shop at Rediscoveries and drop some cash. It's better than I remember it. I pulled out a 50's novelty border print poodle skirt that I have been drooling over on ebay for ages and immediately felt like the happiest vintage hunting lady ever when I saw it was only $50. The selection of sizes and decades is impressive. Most of the pieces are in pristine condition. And don't get me started on the fabric! Novelty cottons and rayons galore! I ended up with a yard of vintage unicorn fabric. UNICORNS!!!!!!!!! Prices are reasonable on fabric too. But don't expect to get a deal. I also got a great deal on a beautiful 50s dress that had a little damage. The owner even gave me some wonderful suggestions for ways I could alter it around the damage and make it even more fabulous. There are also lots of antiques, jewelry, purses and BARBIES! I love ogling at the dolls. There are some deals at Rediscoveries. Definitely worth checking out. Brian is well versed and really knows his vintage.

Driving back from Deerlodge today stopped by the Birdseye Mercantile. This store is amazing…read more Wonderful greeters, Margie and Zoey, furry and friendly met us at the door. The daughter of the store owner was behind the counter and was extremely friendly and helpful. My mother, an avid quilter, visiting from Florida, was impressed with the quilt fabrics and I was impressed with the overall appearance of the store. You would never guess to find a store like this right off Hwy 12, almost on the RxR tracks, but it is a wonderful shop. Great antiques, quilt fabrics, candles, Made in Montana items, and so much more. This store is truly one to stop by or make a trip out to see. Well worth the drive to the small community of Avon.
