They have a wide selection and always in stock of what I need for upcoming projects. The people who work there will answer any questions I may have about their stock or my upcoming projects. Normally the store isn't too busy, although I have seen the fabric cutting line get backed up before. I'm not sure why this place has such bad reviews. It's a standard JOANNs in terms of cost (I do recommend getting the app for coupons) but I always have felt welcome and the store is nice and open. read more

This chain location is an odd mix of fabric, crafts and seasonal accessories. There is pretty much a little bit of everything home decor related here. I have found everything from seat cushion replacement foam to fishing lure feathers. There is a pretty nice art and paints selection as well. I have always been able to find either exactly I was looking for or a suitable substitute that worked. There always seems to be a personnel shortage and my experiences have always been a self-service situation so I rarely encounter employees except for getting something cut to length or check out. Waiting to have something cut can be interesting if they are busy, I've found that I usually don't go in if the parking lot is more than half full or the weekends. Check out is what it is, it's usually understaffed and I've stood and waited for someone to appear more than once which I find odd that no one tends the register regularly. Customer service is secondary at this store. Comparative to other options this place is as good as any for what it provides if your expectations are not to high. I shop here as I need to and do so instead of online to help support our local economy and business. To bad the customer service is lacking at a chain location that obviously the local community wants to trade with and support. Ugh. Why offer curbside or pick up in store if it isn't really available? I never get an email that my order has been received. I don't get notification that it's been filled. I DO get a text (five days later) that if I don't pick up my order it will be returned. Huh. I would LOVE to pick it up if I only knew it was there. I decided to call the store to check on a second order. (I gave them another chance because it's hard working retail during Covid). The person said "we filled an order but we can't find it). Ok. Then fill it again. No call. No email. No text. Six hours later it's still lost. No more chances for this store staffed with poor management. read more

What's with the bad reviews! Sure, the lines are long and the staff isn't all that helpful, but Joann has the best selection of fabric in town. The prices are good, and the coupons are great. I'd go here before shopping at any other fabric stores locally. Best prices and selection. read more

The absolute worst. This store is poorly managed with an untrained staffed. My experience today for example: I waited with my infant daughter, 30 minutes for a cut today with 1 person ahead of me getting 2 fabrics cut. I don't even know how it was possible to take so long. I was then told my fabric was mislabeled and was a different price, but not to worry, I could just use a coupon. Of course at the register, the coupon didn't work. The manager was even there the whole time wandering around the store the first 25 minutes while a line of 9 waited for fabric to be cut. This was the final straw with this delinquent store. I was a patron for decades and remember when there was a knowledgeable staff that was friendly and helpful, but that was 10+ years ago. Now the store is awful. I will not be returning to Joann Fabrics again. read more

Shopping here is difficult because the sale prices are seldom marked and frequently prices aren't listed at all. I went into the store today looking for chalk or oil pastels and was told by 2 employees where they would be IF they carry them. No one could tell me if they have them nor could they be bothered to help me check. read more

Great staff. I love to mill about just looking for something to jump out and say to me "work magic on me, create and be inspired " lol. They have a large fabric selection and I find a lot of great deals going on all the time. I've been coming to JoAnns since high school. And I will always choose them first in my craft and fabric selections. read more

Had a great experience today at Jo-Ann Fabrics. I signed up for text alerts for their coupons and had one ready (40%) to show the clerk. When I got to the register, the cashier (Pauline or Paulette) said there was a 60% off coupon available on their website. Found it quickly, received my discount and I was on my way. She was extremely personable and cared that I got the best deal. I would have given 5 stars but the line was REALLY long (Halloween always is a busy time) & there was only one clerk ringing people up. read more

I've gone here for years and have found that lately, the customer service is more organized, especially at the cutting table. I have no problem with the workers there. I DO get frustrated with the way that corporate tweaks the coupons so you end up paying more than you thought. This is because of the exclusions and small windows on the dates that the coupons are valid. I don't have time to come in 3 different times during the flyer windows to get my deals. Also, the fabric has become so expensive over the last 10 years, that there's no way I could afford anything that isn't 40% off or more. The best deals are on the patterns, but again, you have to wait for that 3 or even 1 day window. read more

Every time I come in here there is a long wait at the register. They have 4 terminals but only one person working with a line of 10 people. I know employees need to have breaks but they need to have employees covering the registers. Customers were getting frustrated and some even put their stuff down and walked out. Shopping online is becoming more and more appealing to me when this keeps going on. read more

I have had repeatedly terrible service at this location. Yesterday I went in and there was no one working the cutting counter. I took a number and I waited for someone to come. 3 workers came by and no one helped me. I am not impatient, but this was bad. I just set my stuff on the counter and left. I don't think that I will be going back. I can get better prices on-line and there are other smaller shops with better service. read more

Worst check-out clerk I've ever dealt with. Challenged me on a 25% off order plainly marked in the department from which I chose my purchase; claimed that meant 25% off with a coupon; I said, no, the signs said just 25% off; he said, well let's go check on that; left the cash register with product in his hand; I pointed out the signs that clearly said 25% off the entire category; he still wanted to argue, ended up going somewhere--with my purchase still in his hand--leaving the cash register totally unattended; lady behind me in line said isn't anybody here? I said, he's over there, hasn't got a clue; she left and took her selections with her (without paying) . . . so what I want to know is, why does this JoAnn's think they're going to make a profit with such an incompetent clerk at the check-out register? read more

I don't know where they find Employees like the store manager they have . He is rude with customers. Times I have been in there he is just leaning on the cut counter staring at people. They needed help at the cut counter and only 1 girl working and 5 people in line. He refuses to help cut! You wonder how they can let customer service go down hill , customers pay their salary. Have been going in weekly since Christmas waiting for new Ribbon supply. Now they have signs up saying it will be in by April 25th. When I asked clerk if possibility of it coming in prior she said "no it would be end of April!" Their ribbon shelves are pretty empty, can't believe they won't get more for over a month from now. Plus there is always a line at the cutting and checkout. read more

I love my neighborhood Joanne's! I am not sure if the staff was helpful or not in 2010, having only started recently going in there, but they sure are helpful now. I've spoken with 2 women in there who each sew and they are both a wealth of information for someone like me who is just picking up sewing after years of not sewing. They are always helpful and I can ask them anything and they are happy to inform and educate. THAT is a good thing, having knowledgeable people to ask who not only know their stuff, but are happy to assist and teach customers. Go in there when it's real lax and quiet and you can strike up a nice conversation while having your fabric cut. You also will learn a few things you might not have known before walking in there.
