The ladies leading the event (obviously, for the first time) were as red-neck as Minnie Pearl, and they had very little to offer! Whereas, in the past, this event was quite beneficial, the one this last Saturday was such that many chose to leave early rather than subject themselves to continued torture!! What a waste of time!! Hopefully, next year, the quality of the past will be restored!!

Door hanger? Monogrammed. Wall hanging? Monogrammed. 'Handmade quilt' made in China? Monogrammed. Yeah, Kirkland's isn't my thing. The Kirkland's are great family friends of ours and they go to my parents' church. I am glad they have done so well for themselves in the kitsch crap that they sell. Anytime I come in here, it is a complete and total cluster mess of people and stuff everywhere. I feel that a lot of it can be disorganized and too much going on that can make me feel overwhelmed in here. It all starts with the parking, too. Small lot with lots of people wanting the same spaces. In addition to the terrible lot, you find yourself cramped in the store. I do not like that component of it. Customer service is so-so. Sometimes it is good, sometimes the girls in here seem to be just as ready to get out of there as much as I am. I go in here for obligatory purposes, never on my own free-will. Since my parents live around the corner and will often run here for my mother, I kind of don't have a choice. lol Anyway, enter at your own risk.

I purchased a gorgeous mirror, so pretty that I want to buy a 2nd for the other sink in this bathroom. I was surprised to find it came without screws or wall anchors. Although the product description states "Comes ready to wall mount, no additional hanging hardware needed" customer service said "NooOOooo." She told me to "hang it in my usual fashion, with the mounting hardware of my choice." To which I replied, "My usual fashion and mounting hardware of my choice would be to use the matching screws and anchors that come in those little bags taped to an item's back." The audible eye roll that followed informed me that Kirkland's doesn't include mounting hardware with their mirrors. Okkkkaaaayyy.... Now, I need a trip to the hardware store with the bracket, so I can finally hang this piece. For the inconvenience and "Well, duh" attitude of the customer service agent? Not 5 stars. Oh - and I can't post this on their site, because without a 5-star, suddenly I have ad blocking software installed. Which I do not, because I don't care that much about ads. I'm purchasing the 2nd mirror from Shades of Light.

Ornaments are very affordable, sometimes photo frames are on sale and reasonable. The Germantown Tennessee location has the most fantastic framing department. They are like family, and do such a great job tastefully matting and framing our handmade artwork and concert posters. I'm taking one start off because they're closed on Sundays and because they are very pushy with the Christian / country theme. If you can handle it, they fill the need for your arts crafts and decor supplies.

But nothing could have prepared me for how terrible the Jackson, TN, store is. I've been there 3 times and will never go back. All three times here is what I observed: A mess! Clothes off the hangers in the floor, shoes off the shelves in the floor, socks and house shoes in the floor, the personal items area so mixed and unorganized it was difficult to just look around, much less find something specific. Household items department was worse. It looked like someone had stood at the end of the isle and threw things up in the air and if anything landed on shelves then it did, and when most didn't then it was fine with them. On top of this, the store is very dirty. The floor looks like it hasn't been cleaned in a long time. And... they have a very small selection of items. I guess that is because they don't sell much, and I can see why with the condition of the store and the lack of customer service. Also, there were never many people there, including store employees. The employees who were there weren't about to offer any help, and when asked just pointed to a direction of where something would be "if they have it." And rude, I should definitely mention that they are rude!!!! I'm not kidding when I say that this is the worst store I've ever been in during my entire lifetime! I've never seen anything like it. I sincerely wish that Ross management would get this store cleaned up and in order because this is the closest Ross to me. I…read morewas told that I had to wait until they were delivered and bring them back to the store for my refund. When I tried to return them they said I should have refused them when delivered, (they never told me that) They said I had only 3 days to return to get my refund. ( something else they never told me). I work and live 60 MI away and would have to come on the weekend--there goes my 3 days. I bought a sectional a few years back and they did not stand behind the warranty when one of the recliners did not work. Never again will I purchase anything from them nor will my friends or family. My son is building a big house on the lake. I will make sure they do not buy any furnishings at Ashley!
