If you're looking for early Americana stuff they got it, if you're looking for the latest Tilda fabrics they have it. A lot of places will specialize just have very modern fabrics and batiks, this place has that and 1930's prints. It has notions, and batting. And long pull bag zippers. And a lot of by Annie patterns -- love those bag patterns! Pittsburgh has lost a lot of of their quilt stores, so this is a bit of travel. It's an hour to get there, but Trax farms is nearby, and they have a pretty epic deli, and also just over the hill on the next big road V&V Scratch Kitchen. Both really good places for lunch, V&V is a little bit more expensive.

The owner, Becca, was very friendly and generous with her time. She told me about how the building was formerly a funeral home that had sat empty for several years until the quilt shop moved in. They are making improvements over time. How wonderful to see an old building re-purposed instead being torn down. The shop is organized by seasons; fall, winter, spring and summer. This made it easy for me to browse the different areas. The fabrics are high quality and popular brands. Some of the fat quarters are packaged together in coordinating colors and tied with ribbon. Jelly rolls, kits and patterns are available for purchase. There are unique gift items and yarns available. I was given a calendar listing upcoming classes. This shop is definitely 5 stars.
