I recently used ChiPro Travel to plan my family vacation on the Oasis of the Seas. I usually book cruises myself through the Royal Caribbean website, but this time I decided to try a travel agent. Buy am I glad I did! Karen Guerrero did an awesome job! She got us perks and OBC that I wouldn't have gotten if I booked myself. Kate helped us book a spring break trip with our three kids (age 9,8 and 8) to Playa del Carmen. It was a FANTASTIC vacation! She helped us find the perfect resort - we were looking for lots of the standard resort amenities (pools, beach activities, all inclusive packages, etc.), but we also wanted a kitchen to be able to prepare food for our tree nut, peanut and egg allergic son. Kate hooked us up with Royal Haciendas which exceeded all of our expectations. Kate helped us stay within our budget by suggesting alternative travel dates instead of the normal Saturday to Saturday trip, which made our airfare substantially cheaper. She also helped us book a very fun excursion that started with a visit to the archaeological site of Tulum and ended with a day of snorkeling in an underground lake, zip lining and repelling. I have to mention that she was quite responsive when I emailed her the night before the excursion to coordinate the pick-up time at our hotel. We will definitely be asking Kate for help when we book our next big adventure. read more

Joanne and her team are fantastic! I've used her for travel twice and both times she's never failed to deliver exceptional service. I had a group of 64 traveling with me out of the country and she made the experience so easy for the group--she kept track of all payments, reserved the rooms for everyone and even came out to my Meet and Greet to make sure all questions were answered, and even provided goodie bags for everyone. The other trip was only for two but we needed to adjust our stay and she made sure our flights were changed and an additional day added to our hotel stay. We picked the destination, then we picked Joanne -- and the trip was great! She planned our trip to Costa Rica, from an intimate garden hotel in Tamarindo (complete with howler monkeys) to a lavish spa hotel in Arenal (toucans included). Excursions for wobbly old unathletic seniors? No problem! We were cared for, assisted and pampered by one of most knowledgeable contingent of tour guides ever (roseate spoonbills to tiny tree bats). We were pleased to have Kate plan on our honeymoon to Costa Rica just this past week. Kate did an amazing job staying within our requirements as well as our budget. I worked with Kate at this Cruise Planners office for two vacation in 2016. My first trip was to Riviera Maya Mexico. I called Kate with only the destination in mind. She listened to my "must have" list, and found me a fantastic all-inclusive with a gorgeous beach in my price range. That trip was awesome! It was so awesome in fact, I called her when I started planning my next vacation. For our second vacation we went to Turks & Caicos. Kate had been to the island before and gave me some excellent recommendations, including a cool snuba excursion and a couple of extraordinary restaurants (like CoCo Bistro!). The reason I am giving Kate and Cruise Planners a 5-star rating is because THIS is everything that a travel agent should be. Anyone can simply book a vacation online these day, but why would you when you could have a travel expert help you for no charge? I highly recommend you give them a call and try them at least once. Joanne worked with my husband and me planning our first trip to Italy! It was 11 amazing days of learning and loving Rome, Florence, and Amalfi Coast. Who says you should only use a travel agent when planning huge trips? Joanne recently planned out our trip to the Grand Canyon in AZ. Joanne took care of everything from booking our flights, our car rental, hotels, excursions and tips on things to do at each location, we didn't have to sweat the details at all! We simply followed the personalized itinerary that Joanne put together - an itinerary which included all of the information that we could possibly need from addresses and phone numbers of hotels, etc. and even a reminder to check-in for our flights 24 hours in advance! Thanks to Joanne for making our trip easy and super relaxing. Sure, you can book all of this yourself - but why? Joanne has been pretty much everywhere, and knows the best places to go and the things to do when you get there. On our own, we would have been stumbling around trying to figure things out and wasting precious vacation time! Too bad we can only do 5 stars! Joanne helped me and my family plan the perfect Alaskan cruise and adventure travel vacation last July!! We started months in advance (here's a tip: for best deals and most choices, start as far out as you can!) Joanne was/is extremely knowledgable about Alaska and the Princess Cruise line, and had great tips for figuring out what was most important to us and how to plan excursions etc. WE HAD A BLAST. The entire trip was without a hitch. Spectacular room -- connecting by balcony with our kids next door. The part of the ship we were on was ideal it turned out, because of the views, what we were close to, etc. The trip was excellent but this is for Joanne -- kind, insanely patient, worked so hard for us, getting every detail just "handled." Never had to worry about a thing. Oh! And the entire "work with an agent' thing was doubly worth it because she knew we needed to update our passports, and we did not. My son was of an age that his needed to be renewed. Whew! If we did this ourselves, we would never have known that, and gotten to the airport to go to Vancouver and our trip would have been delayed if not ruined. Make no mistake, all cruise and trip planners are NOT the same. Joanne is knowledgable about the specifics of different cruise lines, different stops on the trip, etc. We will always work with her in the future. Tell her Stephanie K. sent you. read more
