I moved to the area and got on yelp to find me a nail salon. Not many reviews. The one closest to me had three stars and then I noticed the one I went to today had five. Only two reviews but I figured this place was at the outlet area and they must be good to stay in business. Let's start with the pedicure. Okay I'm finished. My six month old nephew could have done a better job. Now for the sns. I told the young girl I get two dips white one dip pink. Not once but three times. I also had a broken nail. Can you believe I had to tell her to fix it!!! She then got a little put out and acted like I had two heads. Then in her language started tell the owner about me. Honey be careful what you say, I understand Vietnamese. My nails look awful. I left ticked off. Now I have to pay to get my nails redone. The business is not the cleanest. read more

So I got here at 12:30 and had to be at work at 3. I did not have an appt so I gave them plenty of time to do my nails as a walk in and I also only work 5 min away. I kept getting moved around to different people and not sure why. It was a bit aggravating. When she finally started to do my nails she kept answering the phone after every couple of seconds and getting up to take other peoples payments before they would leave. I was confused as to why the other ladies that worked there didn't do that since she was obviously already busy. I'm still going to give them 4 stars because she did get my nails done super fast. Like 15 min or less and only had maybe 1-2 minor flaws. They also do not use gel to do you nails just gel nail polish which is completely different but you're still charged as if it were gel and not acrylic. Also I forgot to mention the wait was super long. And she didn't get started until a little after 2. read more

This salon did an amazing job! I couldn't have been any happier. I went in for a polish change and the operator pushed my cuticles back and trimmed them. I could have fallen out of my chair. She also painted all the way to the cuticles. I will go back even if I have to make a special trip to Calhoun to do it. Yay! read more

Joanne is very accommodating as well as the other staff. I usually go in for a gel manicure during my lunch break (I work 5 min away from this salon) and Joanne always gets me in and out quickly so I can get back to work- however, she does not do a rush job. She takes her time and makes your nails look incredible while offering suggestions. She really does want you leaving her salon looking and feeling better than when you walked in. Also, everyone speaks fluent English and they have nice music playing throughout the salon to ensure a pleasant experience. Never changing from this salon! read more

After searching and searching for decent a nail place, I finally found one I love! For a long time I have been discouraged by the unprofessionalism and quality of nail places in the area. However, I recently tried Joanne's Nails for the first time and was sooo impressed. They are all so nice! Also, this is the first nail place I've been to where they did EXACTLY what I wanted. Not the worst I've been to but I wouldn't go back. Me and my friend went and were there for 3 hours before we finally finished and were able to pay. It took 30 minutes for someone to come and get started on my pedicure and another 15-20 minutes for someone to actually paint my toe nails once the pedicure was finished. All this time my friend was waiting to get started on her pedicure. There was only one woman who could do acrylics and she was busy with two people before she could get to me. I sat with my friend and waited about 45 more minutes before anyone started her pedicure. Her feet were done in 27 minutes and we waited another 20 minutes to get our nails done. While my acrylics were getting done, another woman painted my friends nails. The woman cut the nails too short and said that I just had to wait for the end results. She kept trying to convince me to get dip nails instead and when I said no she became a little aggressive with putting the acrylic on. At one point she shoved my hand to the lamp and told me my fingers were too cold and they were making her acrylic drippy. While I had my hand close to the lamp she left the station for about 5 minutes and came back to finish. She barely shaped them and the polish kept getting bubbles in it to which she just painted over. I had 3 crooked nails, my skin was glued to the tip still, and the polish was running into and over my cuticles. Learn to do your job properly if you want to make a career out of it. read more
