Love this fun shop and the super friendly staff, the owner was working and so funny and helpful too. Was driving through the state and had heard about Joanns and wanted to stop in. I am so glad I did. They had the best selection of gowns and accessories. The girls working were so friendly to everyone walking in the door, as a person who has worked retail I always notice stuff like that. I drive over three hours to come to Joann's whenever I need a dress because they really are just that good. The entire team at Joann's is over-the-top helpful, and they're patient even when you want to try on fifty different dresses; honestly though, they're so attentive, precise, and creative, that I've had them choose for me a few times and been just as happy as when I spent hours deliberating over my own choice. The prices are fair, and they'll work with any budget. If you want something custom, they'll arrange a meeting with a designer for you. Top notch customer service, top notch dress selection (and everything else for pageants--swimsuits, interview, etc.), and the only place in the state where I've found Sherri Hill couture. 10/10, will never go anywhere else. read more

I can always trust her advice when choosing a competition wardrobe for a pageant. Paige knows how to dress every individual for her body type so that she looks and feels her best. My daughters senior prom during the 2020 pandemic was believed to be cancelled. Last minute we had 2 weeks but yay!!! Prom is on! Went to Joanns to for help;). The selection, gallery and staff were impeccable and the shopping experience amazing. We found the perfect dress, they had the dress altered and delivered in the most timely manner. We went to JoAnns dress shop in Union City TN because this store offered a feature that appealed to us, you can order a dress, put half down and if it comes in and you don't like it, you can use that credit toward another dress in the store. Sounds great, right????!! Well, we put down $500 in November to order my daughter senior prom dress dream. Come mid January still no dress. Come to find out , due to lack of credit the store lacked the in Stock dress had not shipped. Finally , after having another dress store check Jovani stock and I was backed by proof to approach the store owner that the dress was in fact available, she had to finally pay her bill and get dress shipped. Late January, we get dress delivered to store. Size 2. It has a large black stack 4"x4". The store says they can get it out, I'm fine with that and assume they will get it out. They are not able to remove stain. At this point I have paid for 80% of the dress. I suggest if we agree to take stained dress they forgive remaining balance . The store owner only agrees to give 10% off, unagreeable to me with a 4x4 Stain. I tell her I feel that , that is not good business. She loses her shi$ and tells me that not only will she not sell me that dress, she will do everything in her power to sell it to a girl at Murray High. I have never been talked to so ugly or unprofessional, it was truly an out of body experience, I was thinking, "what in the world"???? I told her I didnt understand why she was being so ugly. She tells me I have 3 choices , order an in stock dress in size 0 or size 4, neither what we need or receive our money back. I said , "let me think on it over night", I didn't want to screw up my daughters chance of getting the dress she wanted. Once I told her of the situation, she said ,"mom, get your money back, it's the principle, this isnt right". So I text the owner and told her we wanted a refund . She then texted me that was no longer an option , store credit only. So I said, Fine, order me a size 4 and we will have it altered. She tells me on Friday, I will have the dress on Wednesday. And that I am no longer to call her on her cell phone. Her time was worth $180 an hour and this has taken up too much of her valuable time. I try to explain to her that her time is no more valuable than mine and my only fault in This situation is trying to order a dress from her. She has my money and has me by the "balls" so I take her tongue lashing and unprofessional behavior because and ONLY because my daughter wants this dress. read more

I was terribly disappointed in how the sales staff mishandled my order, and their treatment if me. They were extremely disorganized and very hostile and rude. In my first interaction I was confused with a previous order. I was promised multiple times that I would be called back, but never was. I sent an email and waited a week for a response. When I called to follow up I was told they never received my email. The female sales woman found it in the "trash folder" and said it must've been deleted. It ended up taking 3 weeks just to establish contact with them and place my order. This seemed like an honest mistake so I didn't mention it to the sales staff then. There was also a mix up with shipping charges. When my order arrived it didn't fit me properly. The dress was chosen for me as part of a show and I have disproportionally large breasts for my frame; which I have always been self conscious about (I wear a 34H and have never been surgically enhanced.) I contacted the store asking their advise. I was told by a male sales staff member that they could have one specially made and to call back in a week. When I called back in a week no one knew what I was taking about, and said that couldn't be done. I was then told to call the dress designer myself and they gave me the number. By this point it was less than a week before I needed the dress and I knew there would not be time to have anything made. I called the number and left a detailed message explaining my dilemma with my bust size. I called the store back to tell them the multitude of problems I encountered; more as constructive criticism. Had I not been required to work with them I would have given up long ago. I felt it might be helpful if they were aware of what I experienced so they could correct it for future clients. As I'm speaking to one woman, calmly and kindly, she just hands the phone off to the female manager, who was extremely hostile before I ever began speaking. She said someone walked up to the lady I was speaking with and that's why she passed the phone over. That was extremely unprofessional, as I was a customer too, when someone else presumably walked up. I began telling the manager everything , who then responded by criticizing me because I "choose to get large boobs", which was of course was incorrect. She then told me their store wasn't making any money off my order, so I was expecting too much from them. She then criticized me for not coming to the store in-person to "support my sponsors" and instead electing to have my order shipped. Shipping was an option given to me by the organization that sent me there, and I chose this option since the store was almost a 4 hour drive away for me. She then told me they were "busy with real customers" and didn't have time to discuss this. There is no other explanation for her treatment of me other than pure hateful. I was not hostile. She was cruel to make fun of my body, and wrong to criticize me for the cosmetic surgery she had falsely assumed I had. She was also extraordinarily unprofessional. So on top of their disorganized management of my order, the staff and manager were unprofessional and cruel. To add to all of this, after she hung up on me I received a call back from the "dress designer" they told me to call to learn that it was not a dress designer, but the head of the organization I was working with! I was mortified to know I described the fit of my dress and the size of my breasts to such a man! Absolutely mortified! I will never again visit or work with any member of staff affiliated with Joann's ever again for as long as I live. Not only were they incredibly rude, I wouldn't trust them to manage anything important. If you order a gown from there, expect it to be lost, incorrect, or otherwise wrong. And if you try to talk to anyone about it expect to not be remembered, told incorrect information, and then ridiculed and verbally assaulted. read more
