I placed an order for an item their website lists as in stock. Meanwhile another retailer I had an advance notice request in to got it in stock, but I didn't order it, having ordered it from Dixie Gun Works. it went out of stock again from the other retailer, after which I got an email telling me it wasn't in stock at Dixie Gun Works after all but they would put it on back order. Back orders for that item take 6 months or longer . . . yet I am charged immediately. Customer service doesn't wish to answer questions and hangs up the phone. I put on backorder a flinter kit build and two days later I found something I liked better (a DGW offering as well) Long story short I cancelled the back order and purchased the other kit because it was $100 cheaper. A day later I picked up some bad chatter about the breach configuration of the new purchase that did not fit with my expectations. (not faulty but was not what I was looking for)... cancelled that order as well.. bottom line: In ALL cases of communication with whoever answered the phone when i called was very professional and quick to respond, not just in words but my CC was credited immediately.. Dixie gun works has great products! But their shipping is high high high!! AND there is a High hazmat fee that is not disclosed in amount, it just says "hazmat fee applies" it should have been included in amount of order of pulled separately from my card. Won't but from them again if I can find what I need anywhere else. Of course the whole reason I purchased from them in the first place was that everyone else was out of stock.
