If you've been reading my other Denver reviews, you know my dad died of COVID last October, after getting it late last July, and I found out last August - one year ago. It's been a *LOT* - to say the least. Of the many myriad of things I've been doing - for the past year - in addition to being my dad's sole Medical PoA, sole caregiver, then legal Personal Representative of his Estate, and now owning/managing his house, this is also my first time becoming a new home owner. Maybe I'm a spoiled princess, but I'm accustomed to living in new build, high rises in either NoVA/DC or Silicon Valley. Learning and navigating all things older home, and owning a home, are not skills I currently possess. I'm used to calling my emergency maintenance. So all that to say, my emotions have been heightened for the past year. Also, my dad has a military/security/pilot - know your exits/escape route - background, so when - after returning home from a relaxing swim at the pool tonight, around sunset @ ~7:45pm, I learned my front door lock was no longer working *AFTER* I used it earlier this afternoon, when a neighbor stopped by. How did this happen?!? I tried to do what my dad taught me, and "keep calm & carry on / stay collected," so I assertively sprayed WD-40 into both the inside part of the lock, and walked around the house to the outside, and did the same. No dice! I stayed calm, for ~20-minutes, and persistently kept trying. No luck. This is when I started to freak out, panic, get angry, get confused - how did this logically happen, or make sense - and start to get furious - at my dad - *AGAIN* for leaving me alone to handle all these overwhelming things, when I actually have a day job that is none of the above things, which I still need to finish tonight, before a 7am conference call with the East Coast, and it is currently 10:53pm MST, but I want to give cred where credit is due. So I am completing this review, first, vs. adding it to my overflowing/never-ending to-do list, that keeps growing equally as fast as I tackle it. While it did cross my mind that I may be over-reacting, I thought, "what would my dad do if he were alive/still here?" He would be telling me about the risks of a fire, and not being able to use both exits, and how dangerous this was, and then I remembered the fact that I also had to replace his chirping smoke alarm last Monday, when the power went out. Because, sure, it's no big deal to also learn the half life of Americium - from your colleague, who knows everything - on the East Coast, as he logically explained what went wrong, before walking me through how to replace the entire device, including wall mount, getting a new device from Home Depot, with adaptor, because my dad had one that expired in 2005. On top of that, I have to re-architect my network infrastructure (modem/router) and set-up a landline, for redundancy/BCP/DR. A giant battery is en route now, to avoid smoke from a generator. So, needless to say, the past week, since last Mon 8/15, has been *A LOT*. So yes, I did panic, hunt down and find a locksmith on Yelp. Found the first 5 star, with the highest # of reviews, didn't even read them, because didn't care. I needed someone open now, and I liked the name: "Job Done". Yes, that's exactly what I want & need - NOW. Don't care the price. I need it now. I called at 8:12pm. Had a 5-minute call. Explained I wasn't trying to be rude, but I'm still - and probably will always be - operating on East Coast speed (even though I'm a Colorado native). The woman on the other end of the line reassured me that someone could be on their way in ~10-15 minutes. Really?!?! I thought. I confirmed, "they can arrive within the next 1-hour? It's 8pm." "Yes, she said." I asked what the next step in the process was. Would she call me? She told me the technician would call me. At 8:19pm, Roni, the owner & a technician, called me. He asked me to text him my address, and gave me an ETA of 30-45-mins. Wonderful! I hopped in the shower, to rinse off the chlorine, he called me to confirm directions, and he arrived at 8:59pm. He finished the job by 9:23pm, including payment (Venmo), and that includes ample time for friendly chit chat, as well as answering lots of my questions about how & why this - logically - happened, and what I can do to prevent it, and he gave me a guarantee for that specific lock, if it should happen again. Perfection! I will also add that Roni does an amazing job building trust, he made me feel safe & reassured - especially considering it was dark, at night, and I didn't love the idea of a stranger coming to my house, and in my house. So this aspect was super important, and he made me feel safe, and I trusted him. And lastly, I was also given a transparent cost estimate, and a fair price. Highly recommend. read more

As a property manager, there's always some kind of issue (tenant lockout, vendor misplaced keys, commercial doors auto-locking behind someone, etc) and many locksmiths require appointments despite offering emergency services, but Roni was immediately available to help and he arrived within 30 minutes of calling. David was outstanding in helping me get a new keyfob for my car. We made an appointment and he was right on time, did a very professional job at a very reasonable price. There are a lot of scams going on with locksmiths on Marketplace and Craigslist. Only deal with people who you can meet in person, get rates ahead of time. The keyfob itself is not expensive, you can get it on Amazon for your car. What is expensive is the 'programming'. Make sure the keyfob works before you pay a locksmith. Don't do one that is over the phone or "remote". David was great. read more

I used a high quality lock for my storage unit when I sold my house and had to quickly move belongings into a storage unit. Unfortunately, during the past one and a half years, I misplaced the key, requiring a locksmith to pick/drill/cut the lock. I came across this locksmith through Yelp. I called and he responded quickly, even asking if I was in a situation requiring immediate attention as he was working on another project at the time. I replied I was not an emergency but was fairly urgent. He set a time about 45 minutes after our call At the time agreed upon, he showed up ready to work. He quickly determined picking the lock would be tedious and time consuming and decided on drilling the 4-pin lock. However during our efforts to drill the lock and pins out, the last pin more or less "froze" in place, preventing the shackle from opening. The only other recourse was to cut the shackle itself. In addition to being efficient, he was timely and able to help in a difficult situation. I would use him in any future project - and have no reservation in recommending him to other Yelp customers.
