My husband Matt and I spent a lot of time online reviewing photographers' websites and grew frustrated as we couldn't find anything that we liked. Many of them had a stuffy, dated look to them. Dan was referred to us through a family member, and as soon as we looked at the photos on his site we instantly knew that we wanted to work with him. His photos are modern yet classic, and truly capture the joy, beauty and intimacy of a wedding day. When we had a phone call with Dan, and then met him in person for our engagement shoot, our expectations were exceeded again. He is very helpful and responsive with calls and emails, and incredibly friendly, down-to-earth and fun to be around. Spending the afternoon around NYC during our engagement shoot felt like hanging out with an old friend, even though we had just met. Dan had the same ease with our family and wedding party during our wedding day, and we didn't even find out until nearly the end of the evening that he had a very high temperature and was sick all day! He's a true professional -- we never would have known. Planning a wedding is a stressful process (ok, at least for women). The sweet spot of competence, character, passion and raw talent intersect in his photography.
