There are display cabinets with historical information, photos and artifacts. They have a children's section too. Today, they had a book sale for 25 cents, one dollar and two dollar selections. They have restrooms, a water fountain and plenty of parking. I got a library card, and used it for two DVD's to watch for a week. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

An amazing museum! This FREE museum looks like a morgue. It's not. It was left to the city by some…read morephilanthropist, and is a great asset for Victoria. This museum doesn't seem to have a permanent collection. Instead, it houses a continuous array of touring exhibitions. You can eat and drink in the gallery! When I came, two women had gotten lunch to go from Dairy Queen down the street, and were enjoying their Belt Busters in front of a magnificent work of art in the cool breeze of the air conditioning. For my visit, they had an exhibition of linoleum etchings. It was really cool, because they had a couple of places where you could sketch your own linoleum tile to try it out. They have a gift shop here, with high priced works of art, but you're not going to find this stuff anywhere else. It seems that they have a little bar in the back for parties and events. Parking is only available on the street, but when I went, there wasn't a big crowd, so it was easy. The gallery attendant was extremely nice and welcoming, and went on to explain the history of the museum and a bit about the artist. I was really impressed, and can't wait to return for the next exhibition!

There was no one in the teen area (no teen in the entire building, because I checked) and had a teen come in, I would have gotten up and left. After reading for 30 mins, I was leaving when approached by an employee who wouldn't allow me to explain why I was sitting there or even that I was on my way out the door. She was so rude and uncaring. I won't be returning.

I can't review the college itself as I haven't been a student at Costal Bend College in years,…read morehowever, I do use their walking trail to help me get my cardio in. This particular college is the Main Costal Bend College out of all the other campuses they have. 1 campus in Alice, TX, 1 in Kingsville, TX, and 1 in Pleasanton, TX. This is also the biggest campus out of all the others as well. This college used to be called, Bee County College. Right now, I will just rate the CBC walking trail/track. If you do the entire track/trail, you will complete 1 1/2 miles long. As you can see from the pictures I posted here, it's quite beautiful. If you are WAY out of shape or have really bad knees, this track/trail may not be the best one for you as there are small hills and cerves on this track/trail. Anyone can come in to walk or run and there is even a soccer field that I didn't get a picture of, but I wouldn't come late at night because it gesture really dark (no bright lights except near the baseball field). It's very woody and a piece full walk. There is not alot of young kids, so I feel this is a very nice good place for adults who really don't want kids around while you're trying to stay focused on your workout. That is one may reason I come here. I love the peacefulness of it all. I really like power walking here. I try to do it every other day or as much as I can. I would recommend anyone adult to do their cardio workout here. This is truly a 5 star place.

A good friend that has a book store in the area told us about the friends of the library sale so we…read moreloaded up and checked it out. Hardcover books for a dollar and paperbacks for a quarter. We scored big time. I use a book list to cut down on repurchasing the same book.....works well most of the time.....when an error occurs it's a lot cheaper on the billfold. Found quite a few that were on my list.
