    Big Bob Cod
    Lauren S.

We went on a Tuesday night and were served quickly. The pricing was very reasonable, beers that we got were only $3-3.25 (summer shandy and blue moon). I had the Big Bob Cod with fries and slaw, and it was good. They do allow smoking, so we sat outside. Good, local, hole-in-the-wall vibes.

I have eaten there several times (lunch only) and each time the food was very good. I will be there on a regular basis. It is a dive bar but nice servers that are attentive and a clean place. I don't consider saying a dive bar a bad thing, they are my kind of places. Image is a lightly breaded pork chop with green beans and mashed potatoes with brown gravy. It was very good.

    Bar area

This place is half a bar on one side with Karaoke and live bands (local singers) that sing/play once a month. On the other side there is a designated dinning area with 6 to 7 tables and a big screen TV and then another bar/sitting/waiting area. When we came there was a birthday party going on in the sitting/bar/waiting area, so there were tables with birthday cake etc... but this did not affect the dinning area. We had the steak and on a scale of 1 to 10 I will give it a solid 9. It is not up there with Ruth's Chris but its better than the steak at Outback. It comes with mushrooms and a twice baked potato. The steak flavor is very smokey and I want to say mesquite but not entirely sure. You could definitely taste the salt in the juices. It will not break the bank, the steak is in the $18-20 range. The overall experience was nice. The restaurant is a definite local and people from the neighbor good come here and know each other. There is memorabilia all around the walls and it is very lively. The main entrance will take you right into the bar. There is another door to the left of the main entrance door that has no sign or info but that door will take you in to the dinning area in the back. This place is not a smoke free place just a cautionary for those with kids, or Asthma.

Smoking allowed! Should have a sign on the door that says smoking allowed indoors. Might try again in the summer and sit on the patio.

I could get vegan eggs and vegan bacon, and my friends could get their chicken eggs and turkey bacon. My favorites here were the vegan milkshakes, pancakes, vegan bacon, brussels sprouts, and the shrimp po'boy. Unfortunately, I'm speaking of them in past tense because as of tonight, 09May, they have permanently closed. My family and I were some of the very last customers. They were out of all my favorites, so it was extra sad for me. I ended up trying the tacos for the first time. They were cool. But I'm surely going miss my favorites! The owners also own Frida's and Diego's, off Delmar and North & South. I personally don't care for the food at either one, but rumor has it, they might bring some of the Station No 3 favs over to one of these restaurants (which are right next door to each other).

They also seem to have a full bar. There was a Wednesday happy hour when we were there $9 old fashioned and potato skins. All and all it was pretty good but I would have liked to see some healthier options that weren't salad, like more fresh veggies in dishes.

You can order from the bar for beers/the counter for food OR you can use the QR code. Both are incredibly fast. Like had our food under 10 minutes which was awesome. Bar has something for everyone - some great beers, cocktails, and wine. Peacemaker was good as always. I always upgrade to fries then regret it because their chips are bomb. The only complaint here is the amount of meat/seafood they put on their sandwiches - it's like bread with a few shrimp. For the price you're paying (almost $20 an entree), I feel like you should be getting a little more meat. But at least it's good. I got a burger this time and the patties were seasoned super well and honestly very, very good. Such a cool spot, especially on a nice day. Great spot for beers and hanging out with friends.

The vibe when we visited was less brewery and more unsupervised playground. Kids were running around barefoot, throwing mulch and rocks, while plenty of parents sat back with drinks in hand. My wife and I, along with several other guests, were repeatedly getting hit with rocks from children running around the property. Maybe this was an unusually busy night, but it was hard to relax or have a conversation between the constant chaos, the trains, and the swarm of kids treating the place like recess. I'd post photos, but every picture is mostly other people's children, and that doesn't seem fair. If you're looking for a quiet drink or an adult atmosphere, you may want to look elsewhere. If you're looking for a place where the kids can run wild while the adults have a drink, you'll probably fit right in.

I discovered, The Lounge because I arrived super early for a wine tasting at another business in the plaza. My friend and I were immediately won over, when we saw the bar dog. Her name is, Lucy. If you like to play slots while you sip your inexpensive cocktail, The Lounge has about 4 or 6 machines for you to play. If you do, good luck. Best of all, the drinks are super affordable aka "cheap". The bartender was friendly to us being newcomers. We were seated with our wonderful server, Nina (I believe). She was friendly, chatty, and very knowledgeable about the menu and restaurant itself. I was honestly surprised at how busy it was when we arrived at 4pm on a Thursday. I wasn't expecting that kind of crowd, but thankfully I had made a reservation, so we were able to get seated right away. As much as I would've loved to sit on the patio, it didn't look like anything was available, although if you can snag a patio table, I'd definitely recommend it. Inside was packed, with quite a few larger groups as well. Our table was right in the middle of the restaurant, so we had a good view of everything going on. It was loud, but in a fun, lively way. Our server was really friendly and quick. She checked in on us often and gave some helpful recommendations. We ordered drinks and a couple of apps to share, and she left us a full bottle of cold water, which was such a nice touch. We got the pretzel monkey bread, french fries (the best) and the artichoke bean dip. We weren't planning to stay for dinner, just wanted some snacks. The food came out fast and honestly looked too good to wait on. I loved the monkey bread, the pretzel bites had a great crisp to them, and the sauces they served with it were really good. The bean dip was good too, just not as much my thing since I'm not a big fan of dill, so I left most of that for everyone else. Once we wrapped up, we were able to split the check and head out pretty quickly. I really appreciate places that still make it easy to split checks, and even more when you can just pay right at the table with those handheld POS devices.
