My dad passed away over the holidays and I was obviously pretty upset about it. I also did not know was supposed to do about his house, his stuff, his accounts and his bills. There is really not that much there, but I had no idea how to go about it. I met with another attorney and within minutes, the attorney hands me a retainer agreement asking for a Five Thousand Dollar retainer. I certainly do not have that kind of money laying around and I did not sign. On the local facebook page, someone recommended Joerg Seifert for estate planning and I asked for a free consultation. After going through all my dad's paperwork, Joerg reduced the pile of paperwork to a short to do list that did not seem all that overwhelming. Joerg laid out what we have to do to handle the estate and it certainly is not going to cost anywhere near the retainer requested by the other attorney. This office gets 4 stars from me. Mr. Seifert is trustworthy, responsive and he seems like a generally nice guy. I looked online for an attorney who could answer some real estate questions for me (i was having an issue with my landlord). I cold called his office and was connected to Mr. Seifert. He listed to my story and told me to come in to the office the next day with my lease and all my exchanges with the landlord. I think we spent more than 30 minutes going through all my paperwork and he gave me great advice to take back to my landlord. When I asked him for a bill, he said there was no bill and I should let him know if i had any further issues with my landlords. He really made me feel important. Luckily his advice was spot on and everything worked out with my landlord. Fast forward a few months and I am now buying a house and Mr. Seifert's office is handling the transaction for me....funny enough he was also recommended by my realtor. My husband and I used Joerg Seifert to close on the sale of my condo and purchase of our new home. Very attentive and quick to respond to our questions (and there were a lot). We never had to deal with a buy and sale at the same time and he made it a very seamless process. We loved that his office emailed us a copies of everything that was sent out or that was received from the other side, we always felt in the loop.
