DO NOT USE. We had them clean our furnace in Sept 2019. When they came, they said if we paid for our contract they would give us the contact rate. They undertook the cleaning and my bill was $181.85 less our contract discount of $20.00. They missed an issue with a pressure released valve, so I called them and they had to come back. They replaced a 3/4" female relief value part $109.00 and a Taco air vent part $89.00; they purged the system and the bill for the second visit 2 days after the first visit ended up being $491.15 which includes a annual savings contract which cost $389.00 and our discount on that work was $49.50. So far $69.50 in contract savings. Then I was told in order to purge the system we needed them to come back and reroute the water feed and some valves and pipes and was told the the values seemed blocked. I asked for a quote and received one; here we go - waterfeeder backflow com I $445.00 balls valve 1/2" 54.00, copper pipe and fittings $150.00, contract discount $157.25 then drain and refill and purge system again for another $66.00 total bill $562.75. I call Hamburg plumbing and they quote $118.00 for the backflow part and $9.13 for the ball valve. I was told by the repair guy after I called him that there is some labor for the approx hour he said it would take. So I calculated I have first being over charge to extreme for the parts and the labor for the hours work ended up being $385.62 best as I could figure not knowing the pipe and fitting price but allowed $50.00. Obviously and in my view and very bad company, questionable morals, and was even told by the repair guy who was just on a education course that in future if people do home repairs they could risk a fine and 90 days jail. I was traveling and my wife called to have our furnace restarted, the repairman came and restarted it. One month later, the electricity was accidentally turned off and I was traveling and this time when a service rep came, he lit the furnace, noticed a large hole in the boiler and then immediately shut it down and said it was very dangerous, putting carbon monoxide in the house and potentially starting the house on fire. While a month earlier a different tech, didn't say anything. On top of that there is an annual contract on the furnace for cleaning, which occurred less than 4 months earlier, I don't trust the skill of the workers. THESE GUYS STINK . I have used them for a long time and years ago when it was a mom and pop business they were OK, there workers have no idea on what they are doing and keep changing parts to try and fixe the problem. They also in my opinion they are crooks , last winter when I was out of state I had a problem with one of my boilers and could not be there to see it , form what my handiman told it I knew it was just a $50part. I call Joe and he can out and look at the boiler , called me up and told me it had to be changed to the tune of $11000.00. , I know the unit is a good unit so I jumped on a plane flew home called someone else they made the repair for under $275 . THINK BEFORE YOU CALL THIS COMPANY - I had an issue with Furnace. Scott from this company show up on schedule day and spend 20-30 minutes trying to find out an issue, after 30 minutes he gave up looking and come-up with a conclusion, which was NOT related to the problem at all. He was blaming a Thermostat instead of looking into Furnace. This company's Employee (Scott), doesn't have a knowledge , on how to troubleshoot an issue. Our furnace needed an annual cleaning. Prior to them arriving it ran fine. Upon completion, less than an hour, I received an estimate for work that needed to be done. Over $350. The technician explained nothing to me. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. read more

Sort of a mixed bag with this company, some employees are good, some not so much. When they showed up for the yearly cleaning on my furnace I explained to them I was having an issue with my furnace and they couldn't figure it out (honestly, I don't think they had the skill set to troubleshoot the problem). They noticed part needed to be replaced and I questioned if it would be covered under warranty as my furnace was less than five years old and their response was "maybe, but probably not." A couple of weeks later my furnace died and I was forced to call for service at night, the guy that showed up was super knowledgeable and he located the problem almost immediately (bad circuit board). Again I asked if the part would be covered under warranty and he wasn't sure, so I paid for the part out of pocket. I called the office a couple of times and zero response. I get the impression they don't want to go through the hassle of submitting the warranty paperwork and therefore make it sound like you're not entitled to a warranty reimbursement. Boiler quit overnight, so I called my fuel company and the referred me to these scammers. Tech came by looked at the boiler and told me it needs to be replaced, but put in new filter and nozzle and did a patch on the door. Billed me 221.00 dollars. 30 hours later it quit again, called them again and the girl calls me back and tells me her boss says he cant fix it because it needs to be replaced and would I like an price on a new one. If it couldn't be fixed, why did he work on it in the first place? Needless to say, if I do replace it, I wont be using these people. read more

The job: replace a LP gas hot water heater and whole house filtration system. Doing the job was Joe, Eric and Dave. All were courteous and accommodating. They first laid down a tarp to protect the rug & hardwood floor. The work was done in a timely & neat manner. The price was competitive and he stuck to the estimate. On the morning of the job, Joe noticed the heater was damaged. He called me and said he was returning it for another. Good catch on his part. He then adjusted the total cost of the job because of my inconvenience. That is good customer service. The heater & filter system installation went smoothly. I took his recommendation and installed a filter system that he recommended. They mounted it solidly on the foundation wall and put in a pressure release valve. Big improvement over the previous arrangement. They cleaned up the area nicely. I also asked them remove a disconnected water softener system that was not part of the original job. They did it w/o any hesitation or additional cost. Now that's good customer relations. This is what sets him apart from other plumbers. Donna from the office, was the exemplary of good customer service. I highly recommend Joe's Plumbing. I will continue to have them service any plumbing needs I may have. Called joes at 3:00 today, they had someone here by 4:00 and fixed by 4:30. Wow-- now that's service!!!

When I called them I knew the problem with my heater. It needed a new electric belt driven motor. They showed up and charged me $89 for the visit and then said they would have to order the motor. didnt call me back for a few days and then wanted $550 for the new electric motor.
