I managed to put a pretty nasty gouge/chunk into one of my 19" OEM Nova wheels. With only 4,600 miles on the car, I was not exactly thrilled with my driving skills or the prospect of replacing an expensive Tesla wheel. Enter Keith(Owner), Horacio, and Derek at Alloy Wheel Repair Specialists in Pleasanton (AWRS). Keith took one look at the wheel via text and gave me two options: a less expensive cosmetic repair, or a more extensive $250 remanufacturing repair where they would actually add metal back to the damaged area and restore the wheel to like-new condition. I went with the $250 option, and they sent the wheel to their Fremont remanufacturing facility. 24-36 hours later: WOW Horacio and Derek got the wheel back looking fantastic. The damaged section had been rebuilt, the contour restored, and the finish matched the other three Nova wheels so well that I honestly can't tell where the repair was done. They also checked the wheel for runout and balance, and inspected the tire. Everything checked out. A special shout-out to Keith Keller, who was terrific throughout the process, and to Horacio and Derek for doing the actual magic. Professional, straightforward, friendly, and they clearly know their stuff. The best part? I went from thinking, *"Great, I just destroyed a $600+ Tesla wheel," to "Wait... where was the damage?" $250 later, my wheel looks like nothing ever happened. Highly recommend AWRS Pleasanton. I got to speak with Sal during drop off. He took a look at the wheel and said that while the damaged looked rough, they would be able to make it look "pretty" good. He was straight forward on what they could and couldn't do in terms of reshaping the lip and matching the paint. This was an understatement, when I came to pick up the wheels, I could not even tell where the original damage was. These guys worked magic. I did end up finding some spots that had some minor paint pooling when drying but they were quick to schedule a follow up for touchups. I got to speak with Francisco for a bit as well and he was also great to work with. If you have expensive forged wheels that need repair and want a shop that offers fantastic repair service, great communication, and very reasonable pricing this place is it.

Some of the worst things about car issues is all the waiting around, skepticism about pricing, and ambiguity for whether your whole day is lost during the repair. These guys were efficient, communicated well, and post their specific prices in the waiting area so there's no worries about what to expect.
