Since I'm in NY, lots of time passes between visits. Before the pandemic, they were better than ALL NYC/upstate shops I've been to (and I'm a record junkie), and after... that's still true. Came home with a very sweet score. They had a sale going and I came home with records that would have taken me years to find in NY. Very worth a visit.

If you are a music lover, you will be dancing when you walk in the door. The walls are lined with the records and CDs of all different genres. You can browse as long as you'd like, testing out a few vinyls on the record players in the room. Staff are attentive and knowledgeable. What a gem.

Joe's Record Paradise has a large selection of CDs, but prices are high and the employees are gruff. It wasn't fun shopping here.

Cool spot but rap/hip hop cd selection is weak.. It's getting harder and harder out here. I guess eBay and Discogs.com it is..

Not too crowded which I liked as it can get pretty tight since there's many books and many shelves. Service was fine although I didn't really talk to many people while there (was more preoccupied with finding the books and checking them out). I'd say this place has great value as the books i got (3) were charged a total of just under $5. I can see why the staff put up flyers stating to be mindful with how many books the customers get as they're priced pretty low, allowing you to collect a decent amount. I'll definitely be back to check this place out again :)

Want three aisles of kids books like Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys? Go here. Need every book C.S. Lewis wrote? Stop by Second Story Books. After visiting nearby ZavaZone with our seven-year-old daughter, we stopped into Second Story for a few minutes, which easily turned into an hour. Every book is 50% off. We left with 15 books for just under $21. The books are well organized and maps help navigate visitors to each section, but know that the warehouse's narrow book aisles can get cramped. It adds to the appeal! There are even harder-to-find rooms with other items like posters for sale. They also sell CDs and DVDs. Staff are helpful. I lost my wallet and within an hour a staff member messaged me on Facebook letting me know they found it and it was safe at the checkout desk. If you have used books, Second Story Books buys them from people.

Did you say you like DONUTS with your coffee or hot tea?Well, I have just the place for you!…read more Bump is located on the Fenton Street side of the library. If you find the Fenton Street library entrance, you've found Bump. Here you will find various teas (ask to be pointed to the menu - it's not on the board), coffees, BAKED GOODIES, sandwiches, and (at least seasonally) CIDER. The baked goodies selection varies from day to day, but I've ALWAYS found DONUTS (sometimes one or two types - today there ware at least 6!! - hard to choose!). The donuts are from a local bakery called WOODMOOR and are always fresh. If you're into VINYL, there are also a few bins of new records. Note that many of the pics posted here are NOT of the current location, but of the former location on East-West Highway. Bon appétit!

It was in front of the Silver Spring library in a separate island on its own. It's a bit difficult to describe but if you walk on the Fenton St, you ll see little flags/banners (attached in my pictures). Follow them and go past the railing and the store is on the first floor. It's confusing because the address is 900 Wayne but it is easier to get to from Fenton. They could use a small banner on Wayne. The place itself is okay. The cronuts and bagels were fine. Nothing special. The seating inside was a bit odd. The barista area looked pretty clean though. The service was fast. There wasn't enough variety of food. If you want a quick bagel and coffee, it is okay but otherwise I would pass.
