The crabs from Eastern NC are curiously flavorless, so I never waste my money on them. I'm told that the difference is due to cooking methods: boiling vs. steaming. We were warmly greeted by the ladies in the shop and we commenced gathering our nutty selections! We purchased a ton of peanut items: a big bag of unsalted peanuts, butter toasted coated pecans, a can of salted peanuts, some smoked ham slices, a bottle of bbq sauce, a funny squishy stress peanut and some other gifts! We wanted some chocolate covered nuts too but we were traveling and it was hot as the dickens and didn't want them to melt! Next time! We had a great time checking out all the jams, jellies, condiments, pickles, nut butters, the ornaments and other items in the shop! Then we headed out to the car! I said, boy I wish the had peanut brittle! And my brother said, they did have some! So I went right back in and bought a couple of containers of the brittle! Mmmm! We opened one right away and this was the best peanut brittle we ever had! Light and airy and crunchy and buttery, not too hard. Our teeth were thankful for that! Go on and get you some! You won't be sorry! This is peanut country after all. And no, Skippy peanut butter wasn't named for this town, but it could have been!
