He offered to do it for free and I told him it was a dually and wanted to pay he said no,so I thanked him, he told the tire technician who's demeanor was mad to do it. he angrily let out a huff i went inside for a quote i cam out to to have a smoke to witness him ripping off the front drivers side hubcap with extrem ferocity and anger, i went inside and informed the service advisor of his aggression towards my vehicle and told him that I thanked him and he blatenly ignored me. he finished the tire inflation and I paid 5 dollars towards their pizza fund and left . i got to Walmart just up the street got out of my truck and noticed damage to both my front hubcaps and one of them I just purchased 1 month earlier, I rang it in and drove my truck back immediately he told me that his service technician was out on a service call and would get his side of the story and phone me back, its approximately 5 hours later no call . I was absolutely devastating that someone could willfully damage my property like that and I feel completely brushed off. here are some pictures of the hubcaps I will show passenger side first which was new 1 month ago I had a difficult time getting my hands on this one and looked at it frequently because I wasn't happy seeing a rusty rim so to see that broke my heart and was definitely in shock so to the owner and management I would at least bare minimum want to be acknowledged in person because I think that is the least you could do

Booked winter tire change appt on Sep 23 for service on Oct 1 at Kal Tire Duncan. Sep 30 received…read morea call from Kal Tire saying that the wheels I had in storage had not been transported from the Nanaimo shop where storages are apparently kept. This being the case I was rescheduled to Oct 3. On October 5 - a day after the wheels had finally arrived in Duncan, I waited 2 hours for my car to be ready despite the knowledge that I had already been inconvenienced. When the service technician brought the car back 5o me the first time, he noticed that the front office had not indicated that there were locking bolts sitting on the front seat that needed to be used. The service technician then took the car back on the hoist to put the correct bolts on. This took another 30 min - the technician blamed front office staff for not writing on the work order that the bolts were sitting there on the passenger seat. Now I understand that sometimes staff doesn't show up and that can cause delays but shouldn't the customer be called to advise there may be an extreme wait? I am not impressed.

I originally went to this shop mainly for tires, as their pricing on all-weather tires was very…read moregood. I was also dealing with a front driver-side noise at the time. I was told the CV axle just needed to be reseated and that it was fine, which saved me money. However, after the tires were installed, a different noise started right away. I brought it back twice. On the first visit, I mentioned the dust shield and was told it was adjusted, but the noise was still there. On the second visit, I was told the issue was caused by the CV axle coming out and damaging the front wheel bearing, and that the bearing needed to be replaced. Based on the inspection report showing no wheel bearing play and the way the noise behaved, this didn't fully line up. I was able to reduce the noise significantly myself by adjusting the dust shield, and now it is almost completely gone and quiet at highway speeds. For peace of mind, I had it checked by another shop, and they confirmed that the front wheel bearing is not damaged and does not need replacement. I also requested a follow-up call to discuss things further but did not receive one. Overall, the tire pricing and some of the maintenance work were good, but I would have liked a more accurate diagnosis and better follow-up communication. Because of this experience, I won't be a returning customer.

Spent 1.5 hours out at restaurant. Phoned at at 4:30 as was told they would call if AC issues told vehicle not on the line yet. Will be end of day. They called at around 5:00 pm to ask if I could leave the vehicle overnight as too busy. I told them no. I arrived back at Midas and told them how they had very poor customer service and could have told me earlier. The gentleman told me the appointment time is just a drop off time and does not mean will be worked on at that time. I was expecting my vehicle would be finished by closing. I told them it was very poor customer service and a waste of my day for nothing. I will never go back to Midas again after being a customer for years.

Then the idiot manager told me they had found rust in the rear and therefore they would not fix the horn button and the power sliding door(?). When i questioned this the same guy said "If I run into the back of you and my family is killed, it will be your fault." WTF? Buddy if you run into the back of me then everything after that is your fault. They then tried to charge me for work they hadn't done. When I got home I found they had mangled my wheel cover trying to put it back on. These guys aren't fit to work on bicycles.

I took my 1951 truck into H and M to see if they could make it run better when I got it back it…read moredidn't run any better, charged me $300 and when I got it home I noticed that both mufflers had been crushed. I went back to H and M and they told me that they didn't do it. I told them that they must have done it because I had never run over anything and no one else had ever driven it since I had the new mufflers installed. They still denied doing it and when I said that I would show them how they did it on their middle ramp they asked me to leave and offered to give me the $300 back that I had already paid them. I took the money. When I got home again I found 2 broken engine mounts and 2 dented chrome valve covers. I went back with the motor mounts and they physically threw me out of the shop. They must have run it at speed up onto their center ramp and because it is low they hooked the mufflers on the ramp pulled the engine back far enough to break both engine mounts and dent both valve covers on the firewall. i do most of my own work but have had dixon and fraser do my alignments for several years now. they…read morehave consistently done good work. today the mechanic brought me in while the car was on the hoist to show me the results on the computer which showed it was mostly within spec and didn't require adjustment, but that a few bushings were fatigued and should be replaced soon. before doing that though, he suggested i swap the two front tires myself to see if that affected the pulling i was experiencing. so i did, and he was right. so i then swapped the front tires to the back, problem solved, and dixon and fraser only charged me $33 for the check. very honest of them.
