During the Christmas period it can get quite busy so booking is advisable. Last Christmas when we went for are yearly Christmas meal, we were put out in the conservatory which was very cold and cramped. We were not as impressed as the year before, so we have decided not to go back again this year. Having said that the food is of a very high quality and if you are in the restaurant itself, the seating is very nice and warm.

This pub is situatted beside Stithians Lake and has a reasonable sized car park. It's in a rural location so you need your own transport to get there but it's definitely worth a visit. Friendly staff…read more However 2nd visit and at both visits we felt hurried through our meal for other people walking in and wanting the table and staff blatantly telling new people our table would be free soon despite the fact we had not finished main meal or had dessert. No offer of coffee as they wanted the table and we were asked to move to the bar. The table had been booked in advance and was a way for 3 friends to meet and have a chat. I did not expect to be hurried or moved. All could have been solved by a sign put outside saying all tables for food were full. For thus reason I won't be going again despite the delicious food!

The pub is even more about sport than it as about beer with a massive screen and the walls covered by scarves, shirts and flags of various football teams, home and abroad. There is a juke box to fill in the quiet between commentators. Torn between 3 and 4, but for being the best place for beer in Redruth, being a bit different..but mostly for the Leicester City flag..I'm going to make it 4!
