On March 8, 2019, thanks to Cindy at Jeff Hamilton State Farm, Poteau, OK, I was able to turn lemons into lemonade. When I spoke with Cindy, she provided me with some incorrect information regarding a previous claim/payment made regarding my Oklahoma homeowner's policy. Cindy provided this incorrect information as the reason my Oklahoma homeowner's policy would not be reinstated. When I asked for information regarding the claim being referenced, Cindy informed me she was not allowed to give out the phone number (In the words of Judge Judy--"If it doesn't make sense, it's not true"). I was dumbfounded, when requested, why a company representative would refuse to provide contact information. I requested to speak with State Farm regarding the issued claim on this policy, which Cindy repeatedly confirmed was issued, yet I was not aware. Cindy's denial to my request did not demonstrate customer service or transparency. Cindy informed me, she would call but, she did not know when she would be able to provide the claim information requested as she was busy answering phones and dealing with other business (handling my concern was not a priority to Cindy). I phoned Mr. Hamilton's office again and spoke with Jeff. Jeff's phone presence was much more professional than Cindy's; as Jeff provided me with the information requested. Jeff was also puzzled as to Cindy's unwillingness to provide company contact information. After researching insurance companies... I discovered statistically, Allstate has lower premiums in Oklahoma. I phoned a local Allstate agent and was quoted a lower premium for higher coverage amounts. I also have multiple policies in Texas (home, auto and condominium)-- it was beneficial to switch ALL my policies to Allstate, which is exactly what I did. My annual Texas homeowner's premium was $1000.00 less for $100,000 more coverage! In addition, I was also able to obtain a lower premium for $35,000 more coverage on my Oklahoma property! All I can say is thanks to Cindy, due to her lack of professionalism, I took my business to a competitor which resulted in me saving money and I received more coverage. The reason I am writing is to point out how one person can have a domino effect on not only your business but your entire organization. Due to Cindy's unprofessional phone presence, effective, March 15, 2019, all my State Farm policies (thousands of dollars in premiums), which I had carried for years will be cancelled. Instigated by Cindy's substandard behavior, my policies held with another State Farm agent, Mike Bradley, Mansfield TX, have been cancelled. My homeowner's, condominium and auto policies in which I had just added another car to my auto policy earlier that morning, will be serviced by Allstate.
