Don't even think about going to Acme Dental Corporation Unlimited and Fishmonger where they have revolving dentists who don't even introduce themselves. Bleh. This is an office up to date on the latest procedures, not the latest industrial nameless and faceless medicine elsewhere. But if you absolutely, positively must have yet another toothbrush with a company name and phone number emblazoned on the handle then go elsewhere. I'm sure they are valuable on Ebay. The optional laser for soft tissue and tooth work is the preferred way to go. Yes it may cost $60 per session or thereabout but there is no awful drill sound, smell, far less material is removed, it is far more precise than a standard drill, and it cleans and disinfects as it operates. Remember belt driven drills were replaced by direct drive and now laser is the standard. Just like cars used to have fixable carburetors and now have computer-controlled injectors once you have a laser procedure you'll never want to go back. Never ever. Nope. Nyet. Nada. Unless you enjoy starting a car by cranking a handle in front of your Model T with Henry Ford. I'm just saying. The office does implants which is quickly becoming the standard for major work. They have a great implant offer and cost program along with a kind of annual flat fee program. Upgrades from the minimal insurance coverage of metal crowns to porcelain and amalgam to composite fillings are available if you desire. Recommended preventive procedures are totally optional but they know what my mouth looks like better than I do! What is the old saying? "Only floss the ones you want to keep." Strange how some people think the recommendation for new wiper blades is unimpeachable but the recommendation by doctors with years of schooling is best decided by an internet search. My last dentist had the hands of a freakin' mason. Knew his stuff but sheesh I felt like slab of granite at a monument yard being chiseled with a tulip. This doc must weave silk as a hobby he is so smooth and gentle. The office is furnished normally without the costly extravagance of fish tanks and video machines that must be paid for with higher charges. Plus there is a real patient bathroom! No ridiculous key on a chain attached to a giant plastic molar to access a toxic public restroom! Why do other places think that is acceptable? Each appointment has enough time so there is plenty of time to complete the procedures. I once had an emergency and I saw how the Doc and staff slipped into well-oiled machine consummate professional Marcus Welby, George Clooney, ER (before it jumped the shark), House (without the arrogance) mode and Bam! everything was completed without disrupting the whole schedule. Don't be fooled by the cool music and think otherwise, because every person knows how to do everything required. The office staff make the experience a complete pleasure. Many people fear the dentist so it is understandable folks might associate bad experiences with the staff. They are keenly aware of the natural stress of procedures, the anxiety of payments, and the challenges of scheduling all of our responsibilities with infrequent medical appointments. I've observed as they treat patients like a person, a human, and not like an inconvenience, a customer, or a bother. Sure Dr. Gaeta tells stories but they all will also listen if you have something good to say. The humanity we all cherish, deserve, and which nourishes our soul exists in this office and with these people. Once you try this office you will realize just what is missing in dental services elsewhere and you'll realize how much you deserve to be treated this well everywhere you go. Pain free, modern dentistry specializes in Laser and Implants! Always a pleasant and relaxed environment at Dr. Gaeta's office. Receptionist Karen is affable and always smiling. Kim is the lovely assistant, and Dr. Gaeta is a big warm hearted italian teddy bear, who has upped his game to include EVERYTHING pertaining to Laser and Implantology. I have had three done so far and the results have been fantastic! I know from experience what happens at other offices, where they refer you to outside Doctors for extractions, etc, resulting in extra fees. I used to pay twice as much as I do now. Your music of choice is always playing on Pandora and the only downside is sometimes Dr. Gaeta talks a lot. I am terrified of the dentist. The drilling, the numbing, feeling someone root around in your mouth, but only feeling the pressure.... it's gross and scary to me. However, after a long search through several dentists within 20+ miles of my house, I found Dr Gaeta. He's awesome. He always explains what he's doing BEFORE he does it and is careful to make sure I know what needs to be done. I have very sensitive teeth and lots of cavities and crowns from previous visits to other dentists. He never does anything unnecessary or invasive and is very conscious of any out of pocket costs that may not be covered by my insurance. The staff is always kind and helpful. They do their beat to challenge the insurance company for the maximum assistance. I know I'm in good hands. Best dentist out there!! I cannot say enough good things about this dentist! He is a genius! He knows so much about dentistry and actually enjoys what he does and it shows!! He will fill your cavities and perform root canals and caps and dental implants. He would never push you into something that you do not need done. He will answer all of your questions. He communicates with you during the procedure and will say ok you might feel a tiny pinch etc. so that there are no surprises. I love going to the dentist now bc I know that I am in good hands!! Dr. Gaeta is the dentist for me, always has been. I have been going to his office since he was located in Flushing, Queens. It is one stop shopping at his office because he seems to do most procedures that most general dentists has to send patients out for and that means more costly fees the specialist charges. Frequently checks with me to make sure I am not in any pain. He has done everything from check-ups and cleanings to extractions and implants. He uses a laser, no drilling! Today I had an appointment with Dr. Gaeta to do some work on my mouth and my kid got a tooth broken, so I asked the doctor to give him priority.
