Dr D. was my dentist for years.His skill was top notch.The problems began when I had to see other dentists there, after Dr D retired.I cannot recommend this practice now in its new location as Brant Avenue Dental. 18 months ago,I was at Nelson for a procedure and afterwards,used the bathroom. The receptionist came over to me and asked me to go back and clean the bathroom. Not because there was a mess,she hadnt looked at it. Meanwhile, I have an autoimmune disease. I had just had a rough extraction and was blown away to be asked to clean the bathroom. That happened at Nelson St 18 months ago. This week, I had a session with a new dentist at Brant Ave with no assistant who had called in sick.One of his hands is holding the suction, the other the drill which he is using to also hold my cheek back. However, they billed full price. I have had a lot of dental work. Never had a dentist work on me without an assistant. My filling fell out so Im not okay with one-man dentistry.Maybe other people have and its very common like the receptionist suggested. Avoid!

I have even left positive reviews…read more Recently, i called 48 hrs in advance to postpone an appt due to the sniffles,was directed to voicemail so i left a message,asking for an administrator to please call me back. I got no callback so called next day to postpone and was interrupted, and given reminder that they require 48 hour notice and when I offered clarification,the "administrator" got aggressive and interrupted me repeatedly. Her primary concern was charging me for "violating" the 48 hour notice before she had even heard me out. Very rude. The original problem began at my first appointment at the new Brant Avenue location. They stuck me with a dentist I had never met, and he worked on me without an assistant as she had called out. It did NOT go well. My filling has fallen out in less than a week. The "administrator" assured me that all dentists can work without an assistant but in 50 years,I have never had this happen.Ever. Anybody familiar with Dentistry On Nelson will not recognize Avenue Dental. Anybody know any good dentists in Brantford?
