The playground is pretty good and had an interesting merry-go-round of sorts. There is also a cool rock bridge you can cross as you walk around the pond. Their multitude of trails welcome hikers, runners, mountain bikers, leased dogs, and equestrians. Although access isn't provided to the "Gold Camp Reservoir," your dog is welcome to enjoy a refreshing dip in the waters of the "Mesa Reservoir" (fishing and human swimming is prohibited). There are numerous great views of the surrounding mountains, the valley below, and the iconic Broadmoor Hotel, so be prepared to snap a few pics. Convenient parking is provided and all hiking and running abilities are able to enjoy these trails (including those with strollers/baby joggers when accessing the wide and well maintained fire access road). Use sunscreen, wear a hat and bring water. The trails are well marked as are the areas that they are protecting from humans. My husband and I had a great time seeing all the formations. We started from the southernmost parking lot. Either lot works as a start point. The southern lot does not have bathroom or port-a-pot. We saw antelope on the drive there. Deer while on the trail as well as many types of birds. The wildflowers were blooming here and there and some cactus had flowers. Once we got back to our vehicle, we drove around to the overlook parking lot and did that vantage point as well. Highly recommend doing this as you get such a different perspective from being down amongst the formations and then seeing more of a composite from above. It is a worthy visit and hike. Be prepared for it to get hot, quick. Hence wanting an earlier start next time. Would do again!

The facilities were so clean and well maintained. Since we had these spots all day, we had a hike in the morning for people attending the wedding as well as the actual wedding in the evening. Most of our guests explored the facilities and hiked most of the morning. I know many of them will return soon because it was great. The amphitheater had electrical connection on the center circle. We didn't need it because the acoustics of the amphitheater were amazing. We had a harpist and the music carried beautifully. Their voices were clearly heard throughout the amphitheater. Our rainy day plan was the pavillion, which is lovely and amazingly well planned. This is a gorgeous place for a wedding. I can't believe I didn't mention the staff. They were so communicative and helpful. They were such a joy.

We moved to the Springs from Denver a few months ago and we love how quiet this park is compared to other trails near Denver. This park is also very clean! As someone who doesn't like using public restrooms I thought these bathrooms were so clean. We enjoy that the park has plenty of parking, one of the parking lots even has a playground, and a pump for your bike tires. There's also picnic tables which we really enjoy using after our hike. We haven't camped here or mountain biked but that is an option too. Some hikes are easy enough for you to bring your kids, and others offer more of an incline. In the summer you see birds, butterflies, and lizards. This place is great, we really enjoy it!

Then it's on to the little "art" studio. Local artists show there. The pieces of art are reasonably priced! Keep walking, there's a play area for kids and the flowers during summer are blooming all through the center. Leave the center and continue the walk - in the summer on Friday's at the far North end is the Farmer's Market. Continue the circular walk around the park and at the far South end on Friday's are the "Food" trucks. Plenty of picnic tables with lots of beautiful shade trees. Great place for a picnic! Love, love, this park. It is such a landmark for the City of Pueblo. Easy to see just off I-25, exit on 13th Street & turn right onto Santa Fe. Straight into the park! Enjoy!
