When it comes to the food and drink, they either usually sell things in bulk packets, or in larger sized bottles/cans etc, and everything is cheaper here than in other shops. They also have an opticians section, though I have never used it before. There is also a little cafe area serving tea, coffee, pizza and cake at very cheap prices. They are a huge warehouse, they stock a large variety of products, mainly very good quality. The products are not the cheap stuff you usually find in a cash and carry type place. They have amazing jewellery (for the same price as a flat!), their electrical department offers excellent prices. There are always good deals in their quarterly deals 'passport', however, you will need lots of space in your house for all the toilet paper and chopped tomatoes! Service is good and relaxed. The cafe area is great on the way out, baked potato and chilli etc for £1.25, cup of tea for 25p etc. I can't say enough about how great this place is!

Most of the books are in very good or mint condition and many if not most are current edition texts. The vast majority of books are on the recoommended reading lists. I've bought many books here in engineering, physics, chemistry, medicine, religion, politics and history. Reasonable prices which benefit the original book owners and various charities. It's staffed by volunteers and a proportion (1/3?) of the proceeds of a book sale goes to the Aberdeen Universities Charities Campaign, the rest (2/3?) to the seller. Open during term time. During exam time the opening hours will possibly vary a bit depending on the availability of volunteers. The only drawback is that as a non-student who doesn't work in the area I can't always get to the shop when it is open to feed my book habit.

11/28/2024, I purchased this Curio Cabinet for…read more Christmas through AMAZON. The cabinet was well packaged upon arrival with no glass pieces broken. Installation began late December and I found one glass panel missing. I communicated will seller CKEASEAN through AMAZON messenger. The missing glass piece arrived January 14, 2025 a couple week after my notification. Installation completed. The curio cabinet stands spectacular especially after the oak wood was lemon oiled and beeswax.

I love that there's lots of lovely home wear sprinkled around the shop - literally everything you see is available for sale which is incredible because often you'll find a lot of amazing stuff in these kinds of shops which are for display purposes only. I know this for fact because I bought a vintage hat box from here which I've been after for the past year but it's been impossible to talk anyone into selling before because they look so great on show! The shop is independent and run by a really lovely woman who sources all the pieces herself, meaning there's no bulk-bought junk to wade through and it's all hand steamed and in great condition. At the moment she's just updated the stock to summer wear and she's got a cheeky little sale rail for those looking to bag a bargain. It's mid priced, but there is defo some beautiful items to invest in. Failing that there's a few wonderful pieces available to rent for occasions so every girl gets the chance to be Cinderella for just one night, which is perfect for those who feel like taking the plunge into the world of vintage will leave then looking like a pumpkin after midnight ;)
