Jerry Spence won almost every case as he attributed it to his absolute resolve to care about his client but it also requires skill and logic. Richard Portale plays the long game and just waits till opportunity comes a knocking. You need to just trust these guys. Kenneth Calvey looks very non-assuming but also plays the end game. I am the guy who everyone knows is supposed have all the answers and I do just have these guys handle your case. It is just as good when they travel outside NY as they are easy on the expenses. I have enjoyed the law and these guys make it fun and ez. They just get results. You can add them to any "Johnny Cochran" dream team or rely on them to create the team including investigation polygraph etc. They know how to circumvent costly litigation by developing your case early on so the opponent realizes the futility of proceeding. I see folks loose cases which I know these guys would have won by structural differences they would implement in the inception. But its never too late to bring in some new blood to a old and lingering case.

I don't usually leave bad reviews but it this situation - I find it necessary to do so. I went to…read morethis Tilem & Associates because I needed legal representation for myself and my kids. I called first and he charged me for a consultation. I paid and he told me that they would take my case and to go to their office. I went there and met with him and a few others. They assured me that I had a case and they would help. One of the attorneys named David was in charge of my case. However, somewhere during my case, he was no longer there and another attorney took over. No one informed me of this. Then I randomly get a call from an attorney named Robert Schechter. He was extremely rude and condescending and sounded unhappy about having the case handed to him. Long story short, my case went on for over 5 years. He never checked in with me or updated me. I would have to email him to check in about once a year asking why my case is taking so long. He would either not reply or reply and say "nothing I can do." I basically had to check my case online on the court website to see what was going on. I saw that he kept agreeing to adjournments with the other attorneys but never informed me about them. Then after a while when I asked him about them - he said they were discussing a settlement. After I paid them a lot of money because they kept charging me for different things, I received another random invoice for over 5k. When I reached out to him to simply asked why I was being billed again, he replied and told me that if I didn't want to pay he was withdrawing the case. He never answered my question and he just continued to be rude and condescending whenever I would speak to him. When I sent him paperwork that I felt would help my case - he replied and told me not to send him anymore documents. I will leave it right here and say that he lost my case and didn't even care. Him and Peter said they would get back to me to discuss it further and none of them got back to me. Based on the reviews - it seems they are only interested and helpful when it is regarding a gun case. I don't recommend them and the way I was treated for the last five years was horrible. Not once did he ever reach out to me with an update. Lastly, the way I was treated was unprofessional and definitely UNACCEPTABLE!

They consistently called me with assignments tailored to my abilities and interests. Then, somewhere around the time the economy tanked, that changed dramatically. I would call and e-mail recruiters for weeks to no avail. I assumed their lack of response was due to the overwhelming number of candidates that were contacting them. Given the fact that I had worked for them previously and they were familiar with my abilities, I was still surprised when I talked to recruiters who promised to get back to me and never did. If they had no openings, that was never conveyed to me. Several months later, I got a call and accepted an assignment that I was eventually pulled off of with no warning or explanation, an action that strangely coincided with my daring to ask whether the company planned to hire me permanently or not. To add insult to injury, Custom had the nerve to ask me to return the company ID (which I'm sure could have been deactivated without my having to schlep it to them) before a holiday weekend, dangling my paycheck as a carrot unless it was returned. Totally ridiculous and unprofessional. To be honest, I'm sure the only reason they contacted me about this job in the first place was because no one else wanted it, a fact that was revealed to me within the first week.
