I really appreciate all of Andrew and Keith's hard work. Those guys are great. I was stuck in a bad spot and they really pushed my case. I don't want to get into the details of my case because it's private but it involves family law. I was most impressed about how they worked together and always contacted me. I can get nervous and they were always around to listen and talk. Andrew especially would call me after hours and on the weekend. The funny thing is I didn't know these lawyers at all when I started my case but I am relieved I made the right choice. I am sure if new problems come up I will be calling them. Their office is in White Plains. I didn't go to their Peekskill office. The first time I went there I got turned around but it's a big office building. I would highly recommend Proto Sachs and Brown. I recently worked with Andrew on a case that was simple on its face, but had a lot of moving parts once it was unwrapped. It included a few or more people conspiring for revenge in family court. New technologies have changed the landscape of law. There are apps, and various mechanisms in the world of tech that are currently unregulated. If they get into the wrong hands, spoof apps and burner phones can be used to frame someone. If you find yourself in this situation, don't go near a courtroom without Andrew. Andrew is a strong, polished advocate in the courtroom, and is a highly knowledgeable, experienced, and dedicated attorney. (And patient). One star is honestly too high of a rating for this company. They are bullies, they charge you for fixing errors they make, and WILL rob you they will tell you they sent you emails regarding invoicing when they do make sure things are correctly listed. I work in billing at a different law firm and can for sure tell you that once a payment is missed we are reaching out to see what is going on. DO NOT retain this firm for custody. They may get you out of a traffic ticket but will not do well in custody. When I first reached out to this Firm back in November of 2018 the managing partner made me feel confident in my custody case. I will admit that it was a tricky one because there was a lot going on. I retained the partner and he passed my case on to someone else in the firm. I retained the Firm for $3,600 and per retainer agreement was under the impression if I was close to reaching the $3,600, they would ask for an additional $1,500. Apparently, that was not the case. I did not receive a single invoice from March (when I retained the Firm) to September. In September, I receive a phone call from the partner and was told that I had an additional balance of $12,000. The Firm misspelled my email which is why I never received invoices. He tells me he acknowledges that I never had the opportunity to drop them as my attorneys because I could no longer afford them (clearly knows HIS Firm was wrong). He then tells me he's doing me a favor by cutting the price in half to $6,000 in addition to the $3,600 I already gave him... as if he was doing me any favors. My thing is when you see a client hasn't paid and a month goes by... why didn't billing reach out? Why were no letters of delinquency sent? Why were no invoices mailed? All the Firm really did was send a boatload of emails which added up to $8,605, which is more than half of the additional $12,000. The attorney working on my case charged me to fix errors that she made- I don't know about you, but if I made an error, I cannot charge my client for it. When I speak to the partner no 7 months later, he started to bully me into paying him a lump-sum that I didn't have and when I explained it to him, he basically told me I should not bite the hand that feeds me. Me and my other parent were so close to settling that the partner told me he would still represent me because it was so close to ending. He did not fulfill his word yet expects me to pay an additional $6,000 which is $3,300 over the actual work the firm did. read more

This review is my personal opinion. Mr. Proto was my lawyer. I believe that if Mr. Andrew Proto were a horse, he would be ideal for a "seasoned" or "expert rider". A client who's experienced with the legal system, and knows what outcome he/she wants. And that has resolved his/her emotions towards the case already. My personal experience is that I don't think he sincerely cares about his profession nor his clients. He was very good at getting some legal documents written up for me a few years ago. Thank you. Avoid this firm at all cost. I retained this for my divorce. The attorney assigned to my case was Keith Brown. At the preliminary conference he did not say one word... while he opposing counsel seemed determined to protect his client. All Keith did was let me know what my ex-wife's attorney wanted from me. He acted like a good student who was more concerned about being in compliance than fighting for me. To top it all off , he tried to make me settle the case before even receiving my ex-wife's discovery response; who does that? they hit me with a bill of $8,500 in addition to the $5000 retainer I had already paid them... only two months into the case. If you're looking for an attorney to represent you in traffic court, I suggest you run far, far away from Riebling, Proto & Sachs, LLP. They were terrible. For one thing, they gave unrealistic expectations of how they would handle my case, but more importantly, they had zero communication throughout the process and ultimately accepted a bad deal. If you want a lawyer who is going to listen to your case, get to know you, and represent you effectively, look someplace else. If you want someone who's going to charge you $500 and never speak to you again, then go right ahead. read more

I retained Andrew Proto to represent me in a family court child support case and provided him with all the documents and necessary details. After the initial consultation, during which Andrew Proto claimed things that were never taken into consideration after that initial meeting and were just a means for me to retain him and pay the deposit, Andrew Proto assigned an extremely unprofessional and inattentive paralegal to my case, and himself only communicated with me two days before the trial, where he told me things that were opposite to those discussed during the initial stages of our communication. My time was wasted, they took my deposit, which they claimed to have used almost in full and overbilled me for almost $2,000.00. Andrew Proto is a liar and uses his name to have people retain him, does not do his job, does not get familiarized with the case, assigns unprofessional paralegals to the case, does not discuss details with them, etc. I fired Andrew Proto and did not want him to come with me to the court where I was the plaintiff. The case was dismissed, and I had asked Andrew about such an option and had provided all the information and paperwork, but he did not tell me about it, neither responded to my questions and guess that the case could have been dismissed, moreover Andrew particularly lied to me and charged so much money and wasted so much of my time. I am going to sue him for overbilling and violation of my rights. read more

Stephen Riebling represented me when I was arrested in Westchester on assault and gun possession charges. He handled every aspect of my case professionally and was incredibly attentive to me, my family and my case. He answered all my questions promptly (even on weekends and evenings). Every time we went to court he was obviously well prepared and equipped to handle any issue that arose.
