The first one was as a child as was good, the 2nd one was as a newlywed and I had experiences similar to a visit with Orin Scrivello, DDS (if anyone gets that without googling I'm impressed, and a little scared). Due to the bad experience I pretty much stopped visiting a dentist for about 6 years, until I had a tooth crack. Dr Matheson did a great job of drilling out some decay and an old filling and building it back up. He was super careful to not avoid hitting the pulp so I wouldn't need to kill the tooth. All this was done with ZERO pain. I will definitely continue using Dr Matheson. He is a very personable, likable guy. He is the kind of dentist that can remind you to floss more without making you feel like a sheepish 7 year old. Shoot, I might not even wait 6 years until my next visit.

It's just that my old dentist had big shoes to fill, and the couple of dentist that I had tried didn't seem like dentists that I could get used to going to or feel super comfortable with... I guess you could call it a gut feeling. I read the good reviews but still didn't know what to expect. I had my appointment with Dr. Dan. He was extremely kind and friendly and I felt really comfortable about my visit. The place is definitely up to date, but it also has kind of an old school style feel... which I really liked. I got the filling scheduled and got it done just to be surprised with his own inflated fees rather than my insurance fees which he refused to accept. The reason? It was a filling that wasn't due for replacement yet. Amy, the awful billing lady yelled and argued with me over the phone that it's not their job to check if the tooth had been worked on in the past by another office. These people are lazy as sh*t and will NOT check any sort of tooth history just to trap you into paying their blown up fees. Watchout, this is a strategy of theirs! All other offices I've been to will not hesitate to call your insurance to gather pertinent information about the tooth that needs work. The filling, by the way, was no good. As you can see from the other reviewers, Dan Mirci absolutely sucks at performing fillings. Save yourself the headache and avoid this office and the awful billing lady! The rest of the ladies there were nice but Amy the biller is a total b*tch. I called them on Monday morning and they got me in right away. What I love about Dr Brickey is he always puts his patients first. He always does what is best for them. He recommended that I get braces to correct my bite so then he could start fixing my teeth. Fast forward to today and I have finished my ortho and now he is starting to fix my teeth. He is so concerned that everything he does is perfect. He was worried about my bite because I wear a retainer. Well he fixed my cracked filling and then proceeded to fix 4 more teeth while he was there. So now I have some gorgeous fillings and a retainer that still fits. I'm being followed by Dr. Provine and I've been impressed with her affability, candor, and pragmatic approach to treatment. I personally like it when a health professional gives me information bluntly, and I think she does a very good job of giving the straight story while having a empathetic edge, They are efficient with their cleaning and diagnostic workup. They also went out of their way to monitor when my insurance allowed me to get a cleaning and then called me to schedule an appointment. I had to get some fillings (for the first time ugh ...) and from a technical perspective it was fantastic. I was anesthetized perfectly and didn't feel a thing. Very happy with the experience. I would recommend them to anyone.

My mother then went in some time later and he also told her she had cavities, she went and got a second opinion and was told that she did not. I also doubt that I had cavities as I am now aware that I am not cavity prone and had never been told I had a cavity before seeing this dentist. Even after a 2 year mission and in the 3 years since then I have not had a cavity. Dr Sorensen also botched a dental implant on me which led to me needing a bone graft right before I left on my mission, I then had to get a flipped last second before I left. This lead to issues with my bite and having to get braces for a second time when I got home. Do not go to this dentist, he is not honest.
