There was an extra barber chair when I walked in and they immediately sat me down with no wait time. I was surprised to feel so welcomed by them and no awkward feeling despite being a stranger. Even after giving only a vague idea of what I wanted, the barber immediately went to work. I can't remember his name because it wasn't one I had heard before but he ended up eventually settling in London after a long journey via the Netherlands as a war refugee from Iraq in the 90's. The haircut was quick and efficient, and they waxed my ears which was a strange experience, but overall I felt like I came to the right place. If I lived in the area I would definitely come again.

The sign says since 1899, and though you can not tell it from inside due to the decor that has been upgraded, it felt nice walking in an old institution. 10 pounds is the cut only, no hair wash at this price. The store does not accept credit card though there is a free atm across the street. Plus the store is about 5min walking distance from West Brompton station. Convenient and fast. Will def. go back.

He asked how I wanted my a hair done, so I showed him a photo of me with the ideal cut. He studied it for maybe 5 seconds and proceeded to replicate it perfectly.
