When it comes to DUI LAW, I turned to the best attorney I could find online. It helps when you have an experienced attorney who really will take the time to help you get your case across to the county court house. I was wrongfully convicted, but due to what I said on body cam, I was convicted of a dui. I got a DUI, last year and he was amazing. He made an extremely stressful situation a little more tollerable. He didn't take no for an answer when the ADA refused to lower the charges to a wet and reckless. He also was very accommodating when it came to court appearances. This is very important to add this: In AA one of my friends hired another attorney who did not get him the proper advice THAT I RECEIVED!!! My friend is on the bus waiting for the restricted license -- I never was a day without the legal ability to drive. Also Mr. Coniglio told me to sign up for DUI classes without even being told to, which was the main reason they gave me the restriction in the first place. Honestly, I can't say enough about the advice that I received from this law firm. His assistant and legal team was so calm when I was freaking out over the wording on the forms from the DMV. Secondly, now I'm in the work alternative program. I got my duration reduced to 5 days (it was originally going to be 15 days) and am having to serve out this time at an awesome place. It was horribly difficult finding the Work Alternative Program office and then it is located next to the jail in Salinas which was absolutely the most horrible part of this DUI experience: Going to jail was the first and going to the sign up for the work alternative program was the second. I was urged by a so called "friend" to use another attorney who was half as expensive as John Coniglio and I didn't use that person's advice. I was mortified by the outrage that this person had towards me for not at least consulting with that other attorney. Now that I see that I came through this nightmare so much better than my friend in that first paragraph I see how much I appreciate this attorney. Beg borrow and steal to hire him!
