Even after our transaction closed, John followed up with us multiple times to see how things were going and if there was anything he could do to help with the new home. John is patient. We were searching for a home in a limited geographic area we were not familiar with and in a very competitive sellers' market. We also started the search from very far away. I was so lucky to find John to help me with a house I wanted to buy. I had found the house myself, but when I started asking around to find a realtor to represent me and my interests, several people steered me in the direction of Heart and Home real estate. He's a wonderful realtor, a true advocate for his clients. We were an out-of-state buyer and contacted him to get help finding a house in Eugene. He was incredibly responsive and helpful. He always got back to us quickly, answered our questions thoroughly, and shot many videos of properties we were interested in. He never tried to sell us on a property; instead, he tried to understand what we were looking for and gave us a neutral opinion about whether a particular property was a good fit. He didn't seem impatient for us to buy--there were multiple times where he went to a property and told us directly he didn't think it had what we were looking for. When the right property finally came on the market, he advised us that we needed to act quickly, and we trusted his advice because he had never tried to sell us on anything up that point. He was right: we made an offer soon after the property hit the market but ended up in a bidding war. He gave us good advice during the bidding war, and we ended up getting the property. We were introduced to Heather and John Romito via our son and his wife, who moved to the area in August, 2017 from a different city. I was referred to John Romito from a coworker, my coworker expressed that he had a great realtor and how he helped him buy his own home. I reached out to John after I was approved for a home loan and he got back to me right away. John is hands down the best realtor in Eugene. I should know after exhausting most others in a 3-year search for the perfect farm property. When other realtors gave up after we didn't make make them a quick buck, John hung in there. He knew we wouldn't just settle for something that wasn't perfect.
