It was discovered that company had known for a long time that the school would have to close (bc so many families left due to unaddressed safety issues that enrollment was too low to continue operation). By that time, many other schools were full, primary positions for teachers were already full, etc. We literally only had days to find a replacement school placement. I want to start by saying that this school will not discuss tuition rates until after you've been on a 1 hour tour of the facility. This bugged me something serious. I feel like it is a complete waste of my time to take a one hour tour just to find out what the tuition is, only to find out that it is beyond our reach. I had to arrange childcare for my other children, so the whole experience was so inconvenient. While I loved what I saw, the simple fact is that we have a budget, and if the school is beyond that budget (which it was!), I simply will not enroll my child. I understand why they do what they do...they want to show you why they are superior to other programs. But again, if I can't afford it, I can't afford it. I really wish they would be more transparent about tuition. The school is beautiful, clean, and the grounds are amazing. The program/curriculum is wonderful. The teachers clearly have control of the classrooms and the children were very well behaved. I love that they spend so much time outside exploring. The only thing that put me off is that the tour guide (Wendy) talked so much about the accomplishments of former FMS students (I.e. Harvard graduate, playing Bach on the piano at 4 years old, etc)...I hardly think that they can take credit for those accomplishments. There is a LOT that goes into achieving things so great, and a few years in preschool is only a small fraction of it. The speech seemed a little like a sales pitch and she lost me a bit. She really didn't need to add those tidbits to sell me on the school. The school sells itself. Anyway, I attached the current tuition rates so you can decide if the tuition is within your budget before you waste an hour on the tour.

Let me first start this review by saying I love the staff in the office. They all have great…read morepersonalities and they do go that extra mile when need be. But the cafeteria staff on the other hand is horrible. In 2013 we found out my son is allergic to milk not lactose intolerant but allergic to milk. I filled out the paper work all is well. But my son has stomach aches, throwing up and was admitted in the hospital. I go to the school put money in his account and tell the lunch attendant he can not have milk is that in his account she says yes. 2014 I go to have lunch with my son,why does my son have pizza? I go to the lunch attendant at the register and tell her about him being allergic to milk again. My son barley eats cafeteria lunch he packs but once in awhile he wants to buy lunch and he should be able to. Today I decide to go have lunch with my son and guess what he brings to the lunch table pizza! I was beside myself I go to the lunch attendant she apologizes and says she saw the allergy pop up but he picked pizza wth he is 7yrs old. I go to the office talk to someone in the office she emails the person in charge of updating kids allergies, walks to the cafeteria with me we look up my sons lunch account and it says allergic to milk, yogurt. The lady in the office was truly worried and did what she could do asap she even left my contact info so I could be contacted. I received a call from the lady who updates our children's Allergies and She doesn't seem to realize how important this is my son was in the hospital. His organs were enlarged , they could of shut down. All she can say to me is get a doctors note, why wasn't I informed about this in 2013 it's 2015 lady. I ask for the information of the person above her she goes right pass that by apologizing. I don't want apologies I'm past that point I want results. I have so many Dr bills from blood test just to be told it's because he is digesting milk somehow. Yeah he was digesting milk at school. I trust these people with my child and what does the cafeteria attendant do who see"s the screen that says allergic to milk, yogurt she lets him get pizza. Not once,not twice three times. I'm not stating anyone's name because they have a right to privacy but I'm defiantly upset I've been more that nice this is serious this is my child's life. I'm giving one star because of the cafeteria and their incompetence behavior. This is not a reflection of the school and office staff they are wonderful.

My sisters and I went to this middle school. Although, they went when it was at the former…read morelocation. Generally, this middle school was okay and I went through it fine, but for some reason the culture there was a little trashy. I don't know. The high school(WJ) was significantly more classy and preppy, but this middle school was a little bit nasty. I liked the classes I took and all the electives I could take. It did prepare me for high school. At that time in the mid-90s, alternative rock music was famous and Friends was on TV. It was a good time in the US. We liked meeting other schoolmates in middle school and going through high school, but it got a bit dramatic and cliquey...as well there are some snobby people and you just had to sit through it all in high school because after all, you are not in private school!!

It is a wonderful school but the teachers are a little harsh about the phone policy. The teachers sometimes will turn a blind eye whether it be on purpose or not when fights break out. The teaching is also a bit strict but otherwise it's a great school.
