This is a really fantastic butchers in the heart of the Victorian village of Aboyne. I regularly use Troup's for special cuts of meat or for their wonderful, local sausages and bacon. I recently asked for John's advice for selecting and cooking a piece of pork (I'm not really a very good cook) and between him and Allen (another member of the Troup Team) it was prepared and cooked surprisingly well !
It's an old-school village butchers shop with many of the customers shopping there for many, may years. Troup's also sells a selection of vegetables (displayed outside the shop), home-made pies and pates. Easy parking too with the old station car parking area opposite the shop.
A really lovely, friendly place in a very nice Royal Deeside village.
