When it comes time to get the replacement made, he 'lost' the mold, so just orders me a generic tooth. It of course doesnt fit, so he blames it on my good tooth and says we need to grind it down to make the terrible tooth fit. I decline and tell him he better send it back and make me a tooth that fits. He is incredibly rude throughout the whole process, overcharges me, sends me an additional $100 charge a YEAR later for no reason, and my tooth is still messed up. I will NEVER go back there again. I advise you to avoid this egotistical asshole as well.

So I searched on yelp to find a good dental office here in SC to take care of my cleaning. I narrowed it down to 2 choices and allow me to tell you with confidence- I will only be coming here again. The Dentist himself was super cool. He is a 2nd generation Dentist. His father was one while serving in the Navy. Salute... and it's funny because he was telling me about his visits to VA Beach and Norfolk (the area I'm from). So we were chatting about some of his favorite spots to visit. Also, as you leave there is a lovely woman offering you cupcakes :) The intake personnel who is in a couple of the photos on their page was super friendly. Then the dentist comes in, says I've looked at your prior x-rays, used a dental pic on my open mouth to check a couple places, and then within 90 seconds, was up and gone! Wow! And they've got the nerve to charge $71 for that three minute check up! So why is it ALL dentists feel like they have to be multimillionaires? That has always bothered the heck outta me. So is "dental school" really that expensive or difficult?? .. maybe it's the damn insurance they have to pay.?? You can do the math.. this particular dentist charges the equivalent of $1,400 an HOUR! Stay away from this "practice"! Like me, you'll be throwing away your money! I'll never darken their door again!

Over 2 years later we received a bill for almost $3,000 but it was too late to do anything about getting the bill resubmitted to our insurance. We even had double dental coverage but it was too late to submit it to our secondary insurance. They harassed my daughter every month for money after that even though we explained the situation and were trying to work with the insurance company. I work in a physicians office and we would never ask a patient to pay the full amount when it was our error. No one in our large family will ever go to any of the Carolinas Center for Oral and Facial Surgery offices again.

After being treated like an American in Mexico or some other Hispanic country I was finally combined with the rest of the people of other nationalities and put in a chair for a while. Open room to hall and 2 other patients. X-ray of the area and the dentist flys in and saying he thought it should come out (he spoke Engish to me and at that moment I realized the others did also but had never said a word to me in english. Had a terrible extremely long ordeal of trying to pull it, grinding into 3 pieces, banging and slamming my jaw around to the point I was forced to reach up and hold my own chin to keep from him displacing my jaw, on and on and on. I was handed gauze as I left and given no care instructions or timing for gauze. Because of that I developed a "dry socket". VERY PAINFUL FOR 13 DAYS NOW! This whole effort is to say to ANYONE who is expecting proper care that is available in the USA, DONT' GO THERE! EVER ......
