He cautioned me that the prosecutor will give me a higher fine to drop the ticket. I was excited at the prospect so I hired him on the spot. I didn't speak to him again until the day before the court appearance. He informed me that he was able to get one ticket dropped, but there would be no points on my record. I'll admit I was disappointed that I had to plead guilty to two tickets, but I was still very grateful for no points. On the day of the court appearance, it was another attorney that I never spoke to before. He spoke with the prosecutor just before court began. I pled guilty and had to pay $230 in fines. Considering the $450 surcharge for 6 points & fines over $400, it was worth it to hire an attorney. Admittedly, I could have spoken with the prosecutor and negotiated a plea before seeing the judge. However, I wasn't willing to take that risk! Overall, I was pretty satisfied & hopeful that I'll never be in traffic court again.

James Meadows was my first call shortly after receiving my ticket. He promptly responded to my inquiry, provided me an upfront price, gave me a straightforward way to pay, and explained to me what he can, cannot do and what to potentially expect and not expect. His communication is clear and concise. His level of professionalism and integrity is phenomenal, at least in my experience. He went above and beyond while trying to do everything in his ability to get my tickets dismissed however, he was not able to do so not because of anything he did or didn't do but just because NYC does not plead tickets down and 99.9 % of the time the police officers show up in addition to their verbal deposition there's also the body cam footage and other evidence that is very hard and difficult to get thrown out. Despite a partial negative outcome, he was able to secure a warning from the judge instead of a suspension in addition to the points, which is my eyes is a good outcome thanks to James! Although it's not the outcome I wanted, it's a reasonable one that I am content with. If I ever get cited for any other traffic infraction in the future, he will for sure be my first call again. The moral of the story is do not break traffic laws, but if you do call James because he and his team will do everything reasonable in their ability to secure the best positive outcome possible. When consulting me Douglas was very pleasant and communicative and promise to address my case expeditiously however come to find out that was not at all my experience. I was told that my case should take approximately 6 to 7 months to complete and I would receive communication throughout the duration of this process. Today I have made over a dozen attempts to contact Douglas all of which have been on unsuccessful. When you call the line a receptionist picks up and is very pleasant however she's not physically receptionist at this location and works remote. Do you recall when I understand this might've been the case however it seems this may have always been the case. Regardless of what day you call or time this receptionist always has the same response when asking to speak to Douglas which is he is unavailable. I have left several messages with my name and number for him to call me back in addition to multiple emails requesting for an update on my case all of which have falling on deaf ears. At this point it's pretty clear I may have to seek additional legal counsel and figure out a way to recoup the funds already spent for Douglas to help me overall worst experience I've ever had with an attorney.
