This coffee shop was clean and bright inside. Staff was nice. We ordered two cold brews, the breakfast sandwich, and banana bread. The cold brews were kinda weak, probably 6/10. The breakfast sandwich was TINY, should be illegal to have a sandwich taste that good but be that small. The flavor was 10/10, even with no meat. But it was tiny, which left me wanting 2-3 more. The banana bread was very good and had chunks of banana. Would recommend. read more

Nice place, decent service but totally mediocre coffee. It's like so many independent coffee places where they try to save money on the amount of coffee they use to brew your coffee. It was not as good as Timmy's or Macdonald's and cost a lot more so it was ultimately disappointing. Nothing worse than insipid, mediocre coffee to start your day! read more

The interior has been decorated like a mid-century milk bar, with white-washed furniture, retro checkered flooring, and antique appointments. The layout is clean and uncluttered, and the items on offer are appropriately limited. John Ward focuses on creating classic coffee selections - cappuccino, espresso, macchiato - and does not offer fraps or chocolate-chip mint concoctions. They have fairly good baked goods, but they are overpriced, hence my three-star rating. I have tried their coconut chocolate cookies and a few squares, but it seems wrong paying the same amount for my cookie as my coffee. A solid cafe though, overall. read more
