    New York Waffles
    Robert F.

What a pleasant surprise, coffee was a bit strong for me but I know other like theirs stronger than I do. The standout for me was the food, my New York Waffles were really an amazing taste sensation. It might just be I normally have a savory breakfast and this was sweet but the combinations were great. Others seemed to enjoy theirs too and staff were happy and helpful.

Note: first time posting, so sorry if I have any format wrong, only signed up to read and to vent my dislike for this place. Arrived at roughly 7:15pm, was asked if it was easy on our take out. Opted for eat in, the place is very nicely set out, but the workers are not nicely chosen to work. Was given menu, and after waiting for over 15mins, we decide to try and get the waiters or waitress attention with no luck. Mind you right now there is only 5 tables taken out of 15 or 16, so in no way did I see our server as being busy. We eventually got a server who seems quite disinterested, she was quick with taking our order, she asked what we want, and we ordered drinks firsts. She then asked if we were having mains, our reply was 'not tonight just desserts is fine' at which point she rushed off, without taking our order for desserts which required me to call that waitress back after she left and served someone else's order. So after a 10 minute wait (19:48pm) for our "strawberry shake & chai latte" we were pleased to say it wasn't that bad. (See image for size) I do believe the chai seemed smaller than I am used to though. At 20:03pm received our sticky date and American waffle, which in our opinion was significantly small.

Their service was really slow, it takes a long time for them to bring out our food. I was really tired from previous 10 hours flight and really want something good to eat. They are friendly and it was weekdays and they were pretty busy. Jhonny Pump has a potential to become one of the leading cafe in it's area with a little bit more refining touch.

This regrettably was not me. I choose the only option. Now I'm sitting here enjoying my delightful light Kenya blend coffee across at their rival writing a review about them on how their coffee is was too hot, to the point that it's carcinogen (W.H.O talked about extremely high temperatures influencing cancer growth, 2015, good read, talks about coffee too). Anyway, that's my rant about the coffee. And the food? I ordered the "something or other Italian" the name is as memorable as the taste, so don't bother. The eggs were pan fried which I'm fine with if they were nice and hot, room temp or even lukewarm. But no cold?! Cold!!?!? How?! All I had were four clearly pan fried cheery tomatoes and and some sort of zucchini mix. And that mix by the way, of zucchini, Italian sausage and ...Pork? Was more just zucchini, zucchini, oil, zucchini, maybe a little Italian sausage and I'm not even sure if I got the pork :( So I ate the cold eggs on my bread not incrusted with cheese, aye some of the zucchini zucchini. My coffee came late so had two, three sips and called it a day. Got up and did my grocery shopping and sat and wrote this wacky story about a s***t cafe. Here's the kicker. It's not worth one star and I've eaten paster there before (which was average, at best). Go there if you like the atmosphere as it is a nice layout and location. But don't expect anything. Like anything!

The pizza and pastas are very good and up to standard with the mediterranean style of the restaurant, the service is always good. Lately however I have been disappointed by the quality of food and coffees provided. Increasing profits by reducing portions and using cheap milk perhaps. Attention is starting to be lacking on the details of service and the quality and quantity of food.

If I could leave no stars for Pacinos I would. Using the…read morePacinos website I placed an order for $325.00 to be delivered to my home on a Wednesday night (for a birthday dinner). The order was placed at 3.30pm for delivery between 6.25pm-6.45pm. At 6.50pm I called Pacinos to check in as to whether the food was far away (we had kids waiting for food). I was told the food was waiting to be collected and had been ready at 6.30pm. I explained that I had ordered the food earlier in the day and was waiting for delivery. The manager, said that they don't do delivery. I explained that I had ordered from THEIR website where they offer free delivery for orders over $100. The manager said that the website had nothing to do with them and that I needed to come and get the food. Again I explained that I had used the Pacinos website - not a third party for the order, and they were responsible for delivering the food, as per their website. The manager asked if I wanted him to come to my house, hold a candle above his head and sing Happy Birthday to me. I asked to speak to the owner. The manger said the owner was overseas and 'good luck' trying to contact them. My husband and I decided to go to the store to get the food and show him the confirmation email screen shots confirming the delivery. On our way we received a call from an Uber driver saying the food was on its way. The food arrived at 7.25pm and was stone cold. Overall, a terrible, rude experience from Pacinos.

We were tucked away in a windowed corner, worrying me that we would never been seen by staff. I clearly had nothing to worry about - everyone was attentive, fast and funnily enough, Italian! It took us about 2 seconds to choose our meals. I'm used to going to 90 secondi which has an identical menu. Margherita and gnocchi with 2 glasses of Sangiovese rosé. It couldn't of been more than 10 minutes before everyone was on the table in front of us! Absolutely delicious and the perfect share meal. Once we'd scoffed down the food we opted for the Nutella calzone. GET IT! Don't worry about the rest of the menu. Just get the calzone! It was almost more satisfying than the meal itself! So much chocolate, so so much chocolate and delicious pizza dough and perfect ice cream. It's very big though and can easily be shared with 2-4. It's nice to know there's an authentic pizza place less than 10 minutes from home for something a little different to the takeaway joint around the corner. It's made the regular list.
