Like other markets in the area, they carry lots of Guyanese products alongside other ethnic grocery products. They have a meat area and a seafood area. I've not tried either yet but I see people constantly there buying so it must be good. There are deals to be had here. If you're looking for Five Roses flour in bulk, they have it. If you're looking for Guyanese rice, as well as other bulk rice packages, they have it. The staff is customer friendly enough. Some of the cashiers are quite nice and take the time to say hello to my kid and that always scores points with me. I've shopped here maybe 4 times since they've opened and it's a good market. It's as good as any of the other ethnic markets in the neighborhood but with that added bonus that it's super close to home. Normally, if I want to buy lots of fruit, I have to go down to Lefferts and Liberty - but not anymore. Definitely give these people a try. However, just like with any other grocery stores, costumers should be aware with product freshness, expired products and items that has sub-par quality. Plentiful street parking is available outside the store. As what I noticed the owner tries to keep the store clean, neat and organized. Some of the item prices are more affordable as compared to other well known groceries. This is where I prefer to purchase raw unshelled peanuts , so that I can cook fried garlic peanuts, and prefer to get fresh red delicious apples. Costumer service is not that preferable (a one time experience), I may describe some staff as dismissive, may lack empathy, or show no interest in solving the customer's problem, and I understand that each costumer experience may vary. After I was done purchasing some items and while I was pushing the grocery cart towards outside, a staff who is very anxious to help bring back the cart in place has forcibly pushed my cart resulting to minimal pain on my surgical site. I raised my voice at what the staff did, because of the commotion, I found out from another staff that the person who pushed my cart has language challenges, my sentiments were dismissed by the staff who informed me. I would check it out, and by the way, this is SO much cooler than supermarket experience.....no snotty check out people, no tabloid magazines, or kids crashing their shopping carts into the back of my legs, nothing is from California, China, Peru, Mexico, etc....you get the point LOCAL STUFF, just like Floral Park and Elmont used to be .....FARMS.
