I'm new to Cape Girardeau and not a customer of John's Pharmacy but... This afternoon I tested positive for COVID and needed additional COVID testing devices. John's delivers so I called to see if they would deliver the testing devices. Josh told me they typically do not but as I was a resident of a local retirement community maybe they could incorporate them in another delivery. The customer service provided to me was above and beyond the normal and exceptional! Service is excellent at John's Pharmacy. Employees are competent, knowledgeable, prefessional and friendly. They always "go the extra mile" for me. And John's delivers for free! Prices are very reasonable. Generic drugs are $4. There's lots of products at their location--like blood pressure equipment, breast pumps for rent or purchase, braces, and what have you. If you have to wait, there's lots of seating available. There's plenty of parking and it's really close to the door. read more

They let my prescription expire without contacting me. They even had the gall to claim they had filled my prescription but I never received any communication from the and when I would call asking about my meds they told me they were still waiting to receive them. At best they are unorganized and make it their customers problem. If you need your prescriptions, I wouldn't rely on them. read more

Whatever you do, DO NOT go to Johns for your prescriptions. If you want care and good service, this isn't the place to go.

Many times they do not have meds ready for pick up... they blame the doctors office and say the doctor didn't send the scripts to them... then after phones calls and leaving messages on my part to get it straightened out... turns out the pharmacy had the scripts all along and didn't fill them. I have been sent away, more then once , when I have gone to pick up meds and was told they didn't have a script and they have not heard from my doctor. So I have had to make numerous trips to the pharmacy back and forth to get meds that should have been ready the first time. They are also inconsistent with calling to let you know medication's are ready for pick up sometimes I get phone calls and sometimes I don't. I also went one day to pick up my medication and the girl at the drive-through window had me sign something because she said I was brand new and I had never filled scripts there before, when in fact I had been Going there for several months, and I told her this and she told me that she did not have me in their system! Now how is that possible that I am not in their system and I have been getting my medications there for several months. From my experience they are very unorganized. I strongly reccomend that anyone on Medicare or Medicaid NOT use this pharmacy. I alwasy got my diabetic testing supplies from walmart for $0. Insurance covered it all. John's forced me to start getting these thru them, if I was going to continue to use them for my insulin pump supplies. All of a sudden I was being charged $30 for them and they never could answer my question of why walmart charged me $0 and they were charging me $30. I contacted medtronic to get my insulin pump supplies from them and found out that not only did my insurance cover 100% of my testing supplies, but also for my pump supplies!!! I have been paying John's for those, for years!!!! Please check into your insurance and make sure what can be covered, is. Obviously, their insurance dept. can't handle this. read more
