I want to write a brilliant review about Johns, but I'm feeling a tad out of sorts so it's not wonderful. That said, I'm giving it four stars because I know I'm being a bit of a grumpy cow today.
The little shop is really lovely. I like the friendly old dude behind the counter (who doesn't look much like a 'John' at all.) -And someone should pay for language lessons for Rob - They're Spanish not Italian! hehe!
My prawn mayonnaise sandwich looked a lot yummier than it actually was. There was nothing wrong with it, but it didn't wow me. I think maybe it was my choice of filling was just the wrong one (there were a few to choose from!) I could only manage half of it though.
I am yet to eat my banana, which looks very yummy. I'm going to eat it after my cup of tea. I really want to like Johns, and I think I do. I just need to go back when I'm feeling more sociable and feel like chatting to the lovely staff.
The best thing about this place? It makes me might happy when you can get lunch anywhere in London for less then three quid. £2.40 for a sandwich and piece of fruit? Bargain.
No doubt I'll come back soon and update this review with a cheery one. read more
