My experience with Frontier Title Company was extremely disappointing and left me questioning the…read morelevel of diligence applied to my closing transaction. When I purchased my home, Frontier Title's estimate of the 2025 property taxes was off by approximately $3,000. For most homeowners, a $3,000 discrepancy is not a rounding error or minor oversight--it is a significant mistake that can materially affect closing decisions and financial planning. What made the situation even more frustrating was the response after the error was discovered. At closing, I was advised to reach back out if there was a substantial difference in the tax figures. When I later did exactly that, I was essentially told that resolving the issue was my responsibility and that I should work it out directly with the seller. There was no apparent effort to investigate how such a large error occurred, assist in resolving the matter, or take any meaningful ownership of the problem. Consumers rely on title companies because they are supposed to bring expertise, accuracy, and professionalism to one of the largest financial transactions of their lives. A company entrusted with preparing closing figures should not be off by thousands of dollars on a property tax estimate and then wash its hands of the situation once the transaction is complete. Mistakes happen, but accountability matters. What disappointed me most was not just the magnitude of the error, but the unwillingness to help address the consequences of it. I expected far more from a company that presents itself as a professional and reputable title provider.

I got tired of the run around, so I…read morecalled Hardin County and had a copy of the decree in 10 minutes. when I sent them the decree there was no thank you or any form of appreciation for me doing their job. Fast forward, I am now selling the property, and it turns out they did not include the legal address on the deed filed at the county. Me and the Title company I am using to sell have been calling them for almost two weeks to get the necessary affidavit so I can close on the property. "Their Lawyer is not responding"!? Not to mention their inability to do their work is prolonging a close for a new property. It's just maddening.

I've had the misfortune of struggling through two torturous transactions with Riverway. Both closed way past the contract date, in large part due to lack of communication from title. They make it pretty clear that they do not value their customers, alternating between an attitude of complete disinterest or annoyance when either the seller's or buyer's agents or even the lenders call with questions (questions such as: did you receive the contract? Earnest money? Survey? Are we on track to close?) With so many good title companies out there, it's amazing that Riverway stays in business. When choosing a title company, RUN from this one.
